    Default Operation "Nosepick"

Hi everyone. The goal of this operation is to crush Rush poker at nosepick stakes, that would be NL10 RUSH. In the process I will try to insult myself as much as possible to induce better play, but also wont hesitate to spare any donks dumb or even dumber then me. All comments and death threats welcome, along with some constructive commenting of my bad play.

    So, to summarize goals:

    1. Earn 50BI bankroll for NL25 = 1250$
    2. Stop doing stupid stuff
    3. Stop tilting forever
    4. Stop throwing my mouse around and hitting wall with a fist in case number 3 fails.

Okay, now, as a great man once said: "Lets send them home on their bicycle."

Okay, so here we have a nice hand for starters. Button is a 8/5 rock over 500 hands. BB is a tricky 18/13 lag with 60% fold to steal. And that means he 3bets alot with crap hands, so I assumed he is trying to outplay us preflop with some marginal drawing hand, and to confirm that assumption i decided to 4bet him, since he already got rid of rock. My 4bet size was definitely way to big, and practically had me commited, but since my attempt was to bluff him out (with AA i would 4bet maybe for 2-2.5x ), I think it was quite good, as it represents strong PP, AK or donk making a move. Call was a sign he was pretty ahead, but luckily i sucked out on flop. The rest is history, hand history. :P

BUT, morning wouldn't be a morning if I don't start it with a utter and complete stupidity.
So, the donk is 23/15 over 84 hands, a classic lagtard. I notice in his stats he raised my cbet 2 times out of 2 i cbet him, so i decide to checkraise him. The moral of story? DONT REPRESENT!!! DONT BLUFF LAGTARDS!!!I could have done same move with AA-QQ, TT, 55, QT, or if I'm insane enough with AK, and he wouldn't have got it.
Oh well, note taken...his top pair is obviously good to commit whole stack for it.

And last one for now. Bad guy is lagtard 18/15 over 320 hands with 80% fold to 3bet, quite profitable. But i decided to call here and exploit his tendency to cbet 80% of his hands. So I reraise his cbet, and he minraises me????? And I'm like WTF? What hands would you do that with? After pondering for a while I decide to call. Turn goes c/c, which puzzled me even more, but now i was pretty sure he had nothing. His river bet couldn't represent much, except that he hit a backdoor flush draw, Jx (maybe twopair like J9?). Call seemed just fine.

Watch some great preflop play by 19/15 lagtard. Now, my math is a bit rusty but if I'm correct there is about 1% chance for him to get 2 of his 6 outs on any street. There is also 1% chance he will complete his flush. And for simplicity sake, lets say there is 2% chance he will complete a straight. So, with 4% chance for hand to be profitable, he has to win 7.5$ each time he hits, in other words, almost the whole stack.

For the ends, some everyday rush poker vs Russian Calling station. Any villain with a better hand would reraise flop or turn, so i can instantly put the fishy on low-mid pocket pair, suited connector, weak Jx, and AK, AQ. River is check to induce bluff, and those brave enough can even raise river, tho i wouldn't recommend with mediocre hand like this, cuz he just MIGHT have stupidly played 4x.

A bit of a cooler today. But i predict a great day tomorrow.

Still bashing my head into the wall over this hand. Why? Simple. Answer the following question. With what range of hands will any regular at NL10 4bet you for minimum? Only the freaking Aces!!!
The funniest thing is, other guy did the same thing to me the other day, and I couldn't fold my kings (postflop ofc ). But one day...one day...

I must say, for my whole life, Friday the 13th has always been EV+ for me (haha, a poker joke). But really, always something good happens, the sun is shining, birds singing, fish swims in a Great Sea Of Poker. I'm kinda jinxed that way, while everybody else is horrified of this day, I'm just waiting for that stranger walking down the street with a shotgun, approaching me, and saying: "Here's a million dollars, i just robbed a bank but I don't want the money anymore, gonna go live in the forest and eat mushrooms for the rest of my life."
Yeah, any other day I would get my head blown off.

Anyway, back to poker. I played really solid one today, 14/12 over 2000 hands. Wont be playing anymore because I got other errands to run, plus I got bazzilion of hands to review and put notes on fish.

Lets start with a hand of a day. Rocktard is 8/6 over 84 hands. Since he reraised flop I put him on flush draw, AK, 44, QQ. I suppose with his stats he would 3bet AA-KK. Turn completes a possible flush that scared me the most but i called his bet anyway. River was a trivial C/F for me. Ofc, what I saw was beyond comprehension. If Phil Helmuth played vs this guy, he would reach through screen and cut off this mans hands. Well played rock, you deserve every cent.

This one still bothers me. The dude is 14/11 over 200 hands. On flop I put his range on flush, set and air. However i played turn like crap, I should've reraise/shove on turn, because it would be very difficult for him to fold set or a flush. River card just killed the action. Yuck.

Fishy is 24/20 over 76 hands. Couple of hands ago he/she shoved my cbet on a T28 flush draw flop. I was trying to isolate hijack from SB by preflop 3betting with 66, but instead got both hijack and fishy in BB calling me.
Again, in this hand, i have put a fishy on both flush and straight draw, weakish kings, or Tx. Since i don't respect shortstacks too much I shoved. Doh, even if he sucks out he will pay me out eventually.

This one I played horribly. Villain is 14/9 over 110 hands. My bet sizing on flop was horrible, it should've been more like 3/4 to pot size. Same on the turn. Therefore i would represent AK, and turn my hand into bluff, but would find an easy fold to reraise. The way I played it, and the fact that villain checked flop made me pretty sure he didn't have a king, however, his river reraise confused me, so I took a little peek there. Yuck.

I think that floaters with various pocket pairs cost me alot of money in rush. But they are also quite exploitable, so, rather then bet, bet, bet into them with TP, better move would be bet flop, c/c turn, call/raise river.

Here comes my saturday report, a bit late, but getting drunk and evening out kinda has priority over writing a blog.

Did only 2000 hands, but my goal is to find a time for 4000 a day for the rest of the month.
Although I did few pretty crazy moves, hero calls, stuff I wanna slap myself for, dumb stuff, etc, I managed to run out with 18bb/100, VPIP/PFR being 14.5/11. A tiny bit laggy on that side, probably calling too many low PPs, getting few suited connectors in action.
Probably the worst thing i did was getting it all in with KQ on K99 flop, vs 19/8 lagtard, despite the fact that he was yelling in my face: "I HAVE NINE999999!!!!!!!!!" Gonna hammer that clicky finger of mine.

So, here are few candies from saturday.

Villain unknown, 20/20 over 5 hands. When facing unknown, if I feel fine with my hand I always reraise donkbet. Now when he shoves I get a bit worried, but first thing that comes to mind when someone makes move like this is that he has a weak top pair, with a possible solid flush draw. I don't think I'm gonna repeat this move any time soon.

Villain was 17/12 over 370 hands. I played this one like retarded monkey, don't really know why I did it, but i think I wanted to exploit possibility that villain has a weak hand on a river, LOL! Anyway, the flop and turn seems fine, however, I forgot to take into account that very few weaker hands might call my reraise on the river, and especially reraise, so me calling a reraise was just some extra cream on top of the IDIOT CAKE I made for myself.

Here's quite a dubious one. Unknown minraises from MP followed by rock and tag in HJ and CO. I am quite allergic to that many limpers and like to squeeze them now and then with a semiplayable hand. Reraise confused me, made me think he has AA, but along with his minraise I have considered he might be making a move with some weaker pair or some weird suited broadway. Anyway, my trigger happy finger got lucky this time. On the other hand, he would probably lose the same way from me if I just called him. EV+ spew!!!

Here's another ballsy hand from me. Villain is 52/33 calling station over 21 hand. The whole 3barrel thing, now that i think of it, was quite dangerous vs this type of player, however it seems I managed to push I'm out of whatever he had (probably some mid pair or FD).

I played sunday really BAAAAAAAD!!! Only 6bb/100 winrate over 2k hands, thanks to some of my stupidest moves that costed me 2 buyins. Committed TT vs AA on a dry board, and also committed a set of 7s vs a obvious Jack high straight.
If I just DIDN'T do that one or two big mistakes every day, I would have a really nice winrate. Doh.
Also did 120 hands onetabling NL25, kinda felt like it, though I violated my bankroll management rules. But i got lucky, and quickly ran away before getting into more trouble.

Both villains are unknown. Seeing postflop all villains quite willing to spew some chips gave me very nice odds in this hand, so i jammed it and prayed for a shiny luckbox.

Another atrocious game today, 3k hands, 8.5bb/100, a lots of horrible decisions. Overplaying AK over and over again, few flush runs. I don't really consider this game crushed if my overall winrate is below 10bb/100. Yeah, sounds kinda ambitious, and it should be. I don't wanna turn into one of those 9/7 robot nits whose poker game consists of setmining. Whats their winrate? Like 1-5bb/100 plus gallons of rakeback?

Here's one for you to evaluate...

Rocky Balboa is 9/7 over 100 hands, 80% cbet over 6 hands, positionally aware. Feel free to share a few thoughts...

And another ugly one. Donkster is 17/13 over 450 hands, cbet 70% (over 6 hands), donkbet 50% (over 6 hands). So the kid likes to mix it up a bit, to make him a hard read. Main reason I called his shove wasn't because I was thinking he is on flush/straight draw, but because I saw this move being pulled on me from quite a few tricky regulars, so i was basically paying for info.

    Comments?

Well, you got nosebleed limits, where players play with like 100k $ or so...and then u got nosepick limits, and if you noticed my terrific play, you can conclude that anyone who can pick a nose can also be profitable in this games.

Btw, today I'm gonna get 2x 20$ Rush Poker Cash Game tickets, so I think I will try to grind out their value at NL25 from tomorrow (read: spew, lose them, and get back to NL10 )

I even didn't do anything stupid today...except for paying off some poor flush with a set of queens.
  15. #15
I ran most awfully today, tried grinding it out on 4-tables a bit. Big fail, didn't think clearly enough, made lots of bad decisions and played too loose preflop. Also did some NL25, which actually went much better then NL10, ending in a winning session. But overall, I'm down 3 buyins (NL10) over 8000 hands.

It all started by me losing with a few premium hands to a complete idiot runners and strangest draws ever. For example. I'm in 3way pot, holding pocket aces, made nice 3bet preflop to make a pot look fat. My stack size 100bb, one donks size 100, other ones 50bb. Flop 9Jx. All money goes in on flop. 100bb donk had AJ, and other one had 98. And ofcourse, luckbox pulled out 8 on a turn and left me with halfa stack.
And then there was bunch of other stuff, losing with set of jacks on turn, vs rivered quad 5's, losing set vs bigger set, overplaying AK vs villain I didn't give credit to.

Tomorrow gonna be a long day analyzing all the stupidities I have done.

On the brighter side of a day, joined rakebackpros, so I'm gonna be getting some extra profits now from rake machine. And thats quite cool because my todays rakeback will make me breakeven for today.
