-Less tables (no more than 9)
-NO playing while in non-optimal mental states

This will reduce my volume, but hopefully increase my winrate more than enough to compensate for that.

Update:

Discipline month is going well. I've only played 7.5k hands, but running at 5ptbb. Above expectation, but I'm long overdue on that front.

I'm still not playing exactly like I want to -- have made some large enough mistakes that I know I'm not quite there yet, but still I've been playing better than I have been previously.

I have a bad habit of getting complacent, loosening up too much, going on auto-pilot when I've been running good. I think I've already done that a couple sessions so I write this to remind myself to smarten up.

I'd give myself a grade of B so far. Tough to quit the cocksucking cold turkey apparently.

Oh yeah, and I'm gunna clear my $1500 bonus next session so it'll be nice to see the roll back up in 100NL territory (yes I've been playing it anyways )

Anyway, Bbikes lifelong dream of having a sexy daytime grind partner is getting closer to reality. About 4ptbb over 16k this month of 100NL 6m.

If I continue to win at this rate and get in as much volume for the rest of the month, the operation will be a success by the start of march.

As of March 1, my kid will be going back to full time school, so I can grind all day rather than late nights too. Been playing Full time since last Aug with very little grind partners as well. Some homo of course.

So tell me about your experience feeding a kid off of poker. What stakes, how many months of expenses do you have in reserve, did poker become more stressful knowing you've got to pay the bills etc.

fucking fail. -12BI in the last 3 days and I've hardly played at all. I sit down, play 500 hands and lose 3-4 BI every single time

Some bad / questionable / high variance play in the mix, but it doesn't help that my AK is running into AA pre a lot.

Sigh...the grind continues. Discipline month isn't a total fail yet. We has 11 days to recover!

Dude, hit me up on AIM/MSN or Skype and we can talk about the grind. I basically have been on the edge for 6months with no room, making bi weekly withdrawals and getting by. My biggest issues are the need to get money soon for bills and hitting downswings. I have let the swings get to me, to the point of extending them by playing badly trying to play tired and earn faster.

Bah. Month wasn't a total failure I guess, but it started so much more promising. I failed to play less tables, found myself 12-tabling+ more than a few times. So I've made my tables bigger so I can only fit 8 on both monitors. This has been keeping me more in line after my massive downswang.

+800 donkaments, + 2150 bonuses = 3.5k month which is nice, even if most of it did come from built-up RB. At least the roll is healthier these days...

Month is going well. I've been playing at least a "B" game in general, which is improvement. Done well at playing only 8 tables and quitting when I feel my focus start to slip.

I've also been playing on this little busto network that gives me 90&#37; RB which has been kinda fun. Most of the tables are 50BB max which is weird. There's like hardly any traffic so I find myself playing a mix of 100NL, 200NL, and 300NL. Yes 300NL. wtf. iunno. Anyway, I'm up 200 in proffits and 200 in RB there so about a 1k month so far.

On the pat leave front, I recently found out that I'll be getting a little less from the government than I had originally anticipated, but it only means that I've gotta make a bit more at pokars. Like 500 more. No biggie. It looks very promising for me starting pat leave in mid-april.

Epic work ethic when in comparison.

First half of the month I hardly played at all due to IRL and such -- most of the hands were from the last half.

My hands/hr has gone down a lot lately, for the best. Playing 4-6 5max tables on boss gets me like 400-500 hands/hr, and 8ish 6max tables on stars gets me like 600ish so it's tough to pull 50k hand months.

...but that's what I'm shooting for this month which works out to about 25hrs/week. gooooooo pat leave!

All my hard grinding this monf reduced to nothing due to today ...thank god for feeps? We are pulling 4 hrs tomorrow and friday to be on pace for 50k month. May the second half be better than the first. Not running 3billion below EV on both sites would help.
