Well. I had a go. And now it's gone.
Halvsame talked me into moving down on the basis that I only have about 14 BI left for $200NL.
He's right, of course, regardless of how well I'm doing I just don't have the roll to absorb variance.
I'd managed to run quite well, up about a buy-in on Ipoker at $200NL and was hoping that I could keep it up.
Suddenly I lost a couple of 60-40 flips, lost set v quads and got 2-outed and suddenly I'm actually down $100 there and now am back to $1k down overall at $200NL.
It's gone like this:
SH: 50NL/100NL/200NL FR: 50NL/100NL/200NL
Party +$1 /-/ -$157 +$170/-$60/+$12
Crypto - / -$413 / -$861 - / -$102/ - (up $80 from some £ tables)
iPoker +$53 / +$184 / -$78 +$4 / -$436 / +$281
This is over a total of about 7k hands.
I suppose if it shows anything it shows I was right to get off crypto.
Until last night I was up about $400 at $200NL on; and if it wasn't for that crappy FR $100NL I'd be seriously up at iPoker; as it is I'm break-even.
The interesting thing about iPoker is I've played only 1750 6-max hands there, but I've played at 28/22, compared to my usual 24/14.
So far it's worked well for me... but I suppose variance can be a biatch.
So I'm calling it quits at $200NL and moving back to $100NL on iPoker.
I've got about $1575 left on the site, by aim is to keep going until I hit $3k there (I have $300 left to claim on bonus, which should help).
30k hands or something...
Time for a new focus
Starting a new mini op............ now!
1) Get my iPoker roll up to $3k
2) Win at $100NL 6-max over another 20k hands or so
3) Post more hands
4) Do FTR Session reviews
