Default Lets the hell out of $2NL

I've just graduated from university and have decided to make one last go at this poker thing!! I haven't played much if all in the last couple of years, but before that I was stuck grinding $2NL for years and then blowing any money I made on $25PLO HU.

This time though I am going to stick to playing within my bankroll and I deposited $20 on FTP and my first target is to: Turn $20 into $80 by playing $2NL 9Max

Already played a couple of sessions and my bankroll is looking good at around $36, going to try and work my way through the beginners digest as well getting round to read tommy angelo's book.

Cheers griffey!! Been reading your blog, congrats on the wedding!

Bit of a weird day today played for about 4 hours and finished with a BR of $37.97, bit gutting that played for a while today and only finished $1.97 up, but the heater couldn't of lasted forever. Going to have a chill day tomorrow with some mates for uni, then will hopefully be able to grind a couple of hours a night after work (work sat-wed).

This advice depends on the number of tables you are playing really, but assuming you aren't playing a ridiculous amount $1/hour playing 2nl is a pretty good win rate for 6max playing 4-6, so I assume a 9max hourly would be smaller than this unless you make up for it in #tables.

GL with the grind though, try not to care about your results, care about your decisions!

ahah you're probably safe with that one, chances of her hopping on FTR are likely in your favor. Congrats by the way!

Yeah I'm playing 6 tables which I think I can handle at the moment, time will tell!!

Up to $40 now and enjoying playing which is good. Theres a full tilt bonus coming up soon which I want to take advantage of by getting a 1000 full tilt points and getting a $50 bonus so will work out how much I'll need to grind in that time after work tomorrow, but the bonus doesn't start for like a week so I got time!

Just going give a quick update; haven't been grinding as much as I would want because of other life commitments but my bankroll is up to $55 and am going to grind for a few hours tonight

I am thinking about buying a laptop and HEM 2 on my next payday as it will give me way more time to grind and I'll be able to post some hands on here!

gl on tonight's grind. Laptop and a hud sound like good investments. Any reasons for wanting to go HEM 2 vs PT4?

Cheers my bankroll is up to $65 so only $15 to go before I move up to $5NL! Yeah I have seen a £500 laptop which I think I'm going to buy next friday. The only reason why I said HEM 2 was because few years ago I had HEM and found it really useful. Are there any major differences between the two??
