I beat Metroid when I was six, Maybe Poker when I'm sixty~~
Hey Everyone,
Well, i decided to finally start on of these. Honestly, up until about a month and a half ago I really wasn't sure where I was going in this poker world. Today, I think that has changed.
Foremost, I would like to thank each and everyone that makes this site possible. There are qualities to this forum that set it far above anything else out there.
I'm not going to go rambling about my poker discography and the like. I prefer to keep the subject on the recent past, the now, and the 4th Dimension.(the future)
Recent Past
Joined FTR last spring , and made my first deposit since BF.. At this point I had a lot working against me. My ole laptop was on the brink , and it crashed aoon after I had made my deposit. Which had me playing hands at the local library. No HUD, No time, it sucked....
So i stopped playing while I saved for a new lap. This is when I began saving hands posted in the past and sorta doing my own mock reviews. It was during these detailed reviews I had my first recent "aha". Range v. Range was becoming clearer to me , I just really started to get a confident grasp on things.
During the second week of October i finally had my penny's counted up, and i purchased This here laptop. So with a head full of piss and vinegar I downloaded PT4, equilab, and Lock Poker.......... reloaded $40 bucks....... and immediately donked off half of it..
The Now
Fast forward to this here turkey day and things are shapin up a lot nicer:
I've almost 3x my roll in a little over a month. Really , I think it boils down to these few simple things..(in no specific order)
1. Focus
2. Setting daily goals.
3. The sweats that weasel has done with me vice/versa.(Thank you Wease, Your input has been honest and invaluable to me.)
4. The BC, and everyone who takes time to give fishy's like me free advice, thank you.
The Future
All i have to say about things to come is that I have devoted myself and time to becoming better at this game. I truly enjoy all the aspects of it. Learning and having fun doing it is whats most important to me. As long as neither of the two stop happening. I will be playing poker.
