to update ive added 2 more tables. im 6 tabling at Everest 100NL

I had a +$160 day on Monday after being down $70 on my first session. no big losers just $10 here and there type thing. a PFR and c/b amounts to about $11 usually so thats all it really is now.

i still got that poxy poker4ever bonus pending of $200 but im down $140 i think but ill be happy to BE and put the cash to some use again ( got abt $360 there tied up). got 93/1400 points to clear but christ to dont wanna play there anymore.

ok today i got in 851 hands for 9.37BB/100 for +$160 but lost about $10 on poker4ever before my broadband got weak.

same opp, he is around 25/14/2 I have chekc his postflop stats and he isnt all that aggro postflop. seems to splash around abit preflop. i know he call PF RR above with J9 but i dont think he is THAT bad.

previous to this hand opp has RR my PFRs 3 times on 6 tables with me. i folded once and called twice with PP getting marginal implied odds. i have RR his PFR 2-3 times already too and he RRd my c/b one time, folded to c/b and folded PF.

Also he could see that im getting very little respect from everyone (dont know how many times my c/b's have been repopped, never happened so much in one session. i couldnt hit a flop either so i was almost always folding. i didnt actually think to think of this but im learning

Ive just pasted a portion of rentons guide to preflop. My range is way too narrow right now preflop. EP im happy with but i need to keep rereading this to recognise the hands i should play in MP and LP, ive already noticed i dump alot of hands i should be easily raising with.

Im running 14/7 for 4-5 BB/100 which im not happy about and im going into robot mode alot since decisions are easier.

''MP (2-5th to act preflop)- Raise 99+, AJs+, AQo+, KQs like UTG but add a few more hands. As the chance that you will have position after the flop increases (as you get closer to the button), it becomes more profitable to add in KQo and AJo, and in 5th position I would probably even raise KJs and ATs. Limp all the other pairs. If there is a raise in front from a standard player (for our purposes from now on a “standard player” raises 10% of his hands and has a vpip of 20%), just call with AQs, 99, TT, and JJ, and muck AJ, AQ, and KQ and call with all other pairs. When you are second or third to act with AA, KK, QQ, or AK you should almost always reraise to isolate. The last thing you want is to call his raise and then have three callers behind you. A five way pot with AA sucks, and it is the reason most people get stacked with AA too much.

LP (Cutoff position and cutoff plus one)- Raise all the above mentioned raising hands, regardless of how many people limped. Try to build a pot in position with a strong hand. In the second to last two positions I usually also raise ATo, A8s+, KJo+, and KTs after limpers. Unless they are super passive and limping in middle to early position with dominating hands like AK and KQ, these hands figure to be a favorite against them, and combined with your positional advantage your expected value will be high. These positions are also where you can make use of suited connectors and weak suited aces. Limp behind limpers with suited connectors 54s+ 86s+, T7s+ and all suited aces. Don’t get trapped with these hands after the flop, look for two pair or better before you commit a lot of chips. Only call raises with the hands I outlined to do so in MP. With monster hands AA/KK/QQ it is ok to just call if you are fairly sure that the pot will be heads up after the flop. If you can’t be too sure, then you should still reraise to isolate. AK is an always reraise hand for me. Its only dominated by two hands, but it loses value if you don’t get a lot of money in preflop.

Button (last to act)- The button is obviously where your hand range should be at its widest. You should be playing 2 to 3 times as many hands from the button than from under the gun. If the pot is limped to you, limp behind with any hand with potential: 43s+, 54o+, 64s+, 97o+, 85s+, all suited aces, all suited kings. Your raise-calling range, raising range, and reraising range should be similar to LP and MP.

There’s one more thing I’d like to touch on: stealing the blinds. In the last two or three positions at a full table, if you are folded to, you should be stealing the blinds with any reasonable hand. If I am folded to in late position I will raise A8o+, A2s+, KTo+, K8s+, 98s+, J9s+, JTo+ and all pairs for the sole purposes of stealing the blinds or taking down the pot on the flop with a continuation bet. Your positional advantage is so large that even if you opponents have a better hand than you, you will still get the best of it whether he calls you or not.''

Also to note last month I won $770 in PT and this month so far its $1,142. I will never count bonuses coz i cant keep track of it or want to. As long as im a winning player on PT the rest will take care of itself.

Congrats DG! I think you should start taking some shots at 200NL, if you can find a juicy table, especially, but that's just my opinion. You shouldn't do it until you feel comfortable with the $ involved, obv.

thx 4 the input zook, im comfortable about the money at stack when i 8 table Everest so id say id be ok if i just 2 table 200NL to begin with. I can de-sensitize (sp?) myself quite quickly regarding money at stake, I can look at the bigger picture more. Took me about 30 min to get used to 100NL betting.

Defo true ill look for some good tables which can be now done across more and more sites as Ive whored a few now.

Yeah my laptop has that print screen button but i assumed that something would pop up after i press it like where to save pic. But instead my mouse pointer flickers. Maybe it saves str8 to the place you mentioned, ill look there. thx

I left out one step... after pressing "prnt scrn" you have to open a new image file in your image editing program and paste (ctrl+v) the image into it. Then you can crop, save, etc.

I use a screen-grab program which is pretty cool and easy to use, you can choose exactly the bit you want without faffing about in other programs.

hit print screen, open an image file press paste save upload and voila.

Now i have assumed that opp has shoved and no FE has been calc'd, admittedly I dont have much FE to work with but say if i had 10% chance that he would fold then I gain some more EV (although marginally more).

Conclusion: SHOVE IT

had a strong session hands wise last night of about 900-1000 over 2.5-3 hours 8 tabling everest . Only netted +$14 tho. was up a full buyin twice and dropped down. just losing a bundle of half buyin pots here and there, ive looked over them and dont see much wrong with them.

Feeling a little burned out maybe/tired from playing alot of poker since i started this thread. Got class tonight after work so ill either go to that or watch Ireland vs Slovakia in soccer, really not focused on college at all. Been doing the same stuff in class for 4 years or so and its very repetitive but its my final year. i get about 8 weeks off work for study leave and ill study 9-5 each day then, ive no problem applying myself to things when they need doing.

PS: wont see the gf till saturday night so ive alot of time to play between now and then. Any small stakes players feeling burned out of poker lately, i think im a little bit maybe but ill truck on. Think its more to do with my diet actually come to think of it.

session last night saw me drop $113. im down about 2.5 buyin's since monday. BR around 4K mark now.

Im NOT stacking off its just the pots that amount to about $50 or vs short stack just arent going my way at the minute while my premiums are getting zero action or missing flops.

Argh its a pain but meh its poker, ill keep plugging away anyway. ill finish th ebonus of 150 on Interpoker plus have a little RB coming. signed up at Hollywood poker last night (anyone wanna chime in if they've played there) and ill start that tonite aswell. $1000 bonus in 59 days plus it seems to get enough traffic that i aint on every table available. hope its goes well there.

BTW anyone else think that the Interpoker bonuses clear a a good/decent rate?? 4-5 sessions clear 150. about 6 hours work at 100NL. Just faster than some maybe

Hollywood being on the Ongame network is usually fishy (but high variance) and the 7x bonuses are much harder to clear since they changed their structure to contributed rake. I will do the simple 5x $100 bonus on Hollywood as soon as I have cleared the Eurobet/Interpoker boni.

I think the Interpoker bonus clears very fast, just a shame the tables are so tight there.

i agree with both. Cleared INterpokers bonus but its too tight to stay even with RB tho i noticed bonus clears easily. playing hollywood now but for the 15x bonus, looks like its gonna hard slog for this one plus i got RB (new type of RB) from RTR. but a players dont look to good which is just as nice oh and traffic is good finally im playing among some traffic.

i play kinda 6-8 tables. have switched to hollywood and 6 tabling only. Reason being players are poor overall and easy to beat and software is abit too slow to happily multi so instead play 6, make better reads and ill profit more at 6 tables than 8.

yesterday i played 18/11 for +$170 over 370 hands so i really am trying to play more hands. Also a reason to drop some tables.

Expect to get alot of hands in this weekend coz im off friday and monday. Thats why im shooting for more hands this month.

Im sure im on just an extended heater ATM but 200NL seems v soft. Im also now thinking that short stacks of 50-100 dollars in these games are terrible players (worse than other shorties at 50NL or 100NL). They just donate everything.

BTW guys im reconsidering how i play AK to a 3 bet OOP from villians with PFR of 9%.

Also anyone get PAHUD to work with Hollywood??? tho i know it cant to kepty up to date during a session since their is a massive lag time when importing.

i tried 6-8 tables but 8 is too much when i started on the site. too different to just jump into 8 tabling. so went 4 then 6, 7 tabling 100NL seemed comfortable. when moving to 200NL i just played on all the 200Nl tables available, maybe 3 200NL tables going so ill just play them. If there is only 1 200NL ill have another 3-5 100NL tables open but focus on the 200NL mostly.

My laptop has 1K RAM ( i think that helps the program) tho once you have 6 tables open its a nightmare getting a seat, being usually passed over in the waiting lists.

ah all back to normal now. lost $900 today.

Biggest overall win was $66 with quad sixes. Second was $16. All over an hour and half playing.

I was played back at so so must. constantly minraised but i couldnt hit a flop. Sounds like im lacking confidence now or exaggerating but it really happened so so often, to the point i thought everyone was making a play on me and i couldnt adpat with A high anyway.

Conclusion im gonna have to tighten up my play abit to get some wins together.

I did do some bad things tho today besides these hands. i went straight into 200NL even tho the games werent juicy, didnt move coz the tables didnt get any better (tight/nits everywhere), didnt focus, was autopiloting.

Gonna step down to 100NL for a fews wins then pop back up or just take 2m off.

In 6max its an easy reraise, but in fr im guessing the reraise range here is much tight considering the position of the opener.

Just play solid and tight in the 200NL game there. They're not smarter. Just the same bunch of retards you find in 100NL. You got real unlucky in all of those hands. But you did lose about as little as you could have.

The only guy I might keep an eye on is HamChoppedUp. He's the only name that I recognize as being decent, but still very basic. I'm sure you've run into him at the 100NL tables. All the regulars at 200NL are the same guys at 100NL. It's the same game.

thx man, yeah coz they all either are too tight to pull too many moves i gave there minraises the benefit of the doubt. THo it didnt matter much coz i couldnt hit a flop well enough to play back anyway.

TBH ill be playing tonight and if theres some good 200NL tables ill be there. Im overrolled for 100NL but i guess if the 200NL games are too tight ill have to play 100NL.

ALso the hollywood 15x bonus is so slow ive only gotten $50x2 released so far.

The players at $100NL SH on Ongame are worse than the players at $50NL SH. However, variance is higher as well.

dropped $240 last night in just under 400 hands. Went on tilt and left!!!! Cant say why i tilted but im happy i realised it and left my house. Got stack in a flopped flush over flush (getting it AI on flop too). KK got sucked out on in 2 small pots when AI PF. the rest was c/b's getting floated/loose calls etc. What annoyed me most was 2 flops I c/b'ed and I knew the texture wasnt good for me and good for opp but i still bet and lost the pot in some way.

Anyway ill get back into it tonite, might look for a 6 max site instead of playing 5 max.

played some prima 6 max. defo nice to play 6 max instead of 5 max as a transition from FR personally. I think ive adpated quickly esp. since most cardrunners vids are 6 max anyway and ive watched plenty of them.
