Just played this $1.10r SCOOP satellite for the $109 Event-43. I used a late entry strategy, luckily had some good cards and never had to use any rebuy, then took the big 30k addon for $1. Ok, i was the bubble boy (was auto all-in), but winning $55 from $2.10 is not bad, right ?

How did you get to auto-allin?

You must have been doing something horribly wrong for that to happen.

It was a little bit crazy with the super high blinds, i hadn´t the smallest stack (do i wait til he or he busts or not ?), but suddenly there was new a table draw (the last two tables) and i was UTG and then BB

When playing a tournament you should be playing to win it, you should definitely do some work on your short stack game. I can't imagine (which doesn't mean anything as I'm a noob) there are any situations which exist where you should going auto all-in unless you get it in with someone who has just slightly less chips than you and lose to be in the blinds next hand.

Shipped the $8.80 ($8k gtd) on PokerStars

Binked a nice turbo tournament on Stars last night, it was the $8.80 ($8k GTD) with 1213 runners.
We made a deal three handed, because of the high pay jumps.
I had the most chippies and thats why i got the highest prize: $1441.96
Then we played on and i became the winner. Not bad for three hours work.
Also won a little final table prize (5th place) in a $3.30 mtt with 418 players in the same night.

Played my 20.000th tournament on PokerStars (and it was a 2nd place)

After my nice victory (previous post) i looked at OPR and i saw there 19996 games. So i loaded 4 x $2.50 180mans, lost three - but in the last one i went deep and reached the final table. I was motivated to win this game and the cards helped too. In the heads-up i played against some aggressive russian player, and i was behind in chips. Finally we had the same chip count and i got TT. I made my set on the river, which gave him the straight. OK. But it was a nice 20.000th tournament.

Nice congrats on hitting 20k, and on the results!

I think a part of me always wants to get back into the tourney scene. The time commitment is always the killer for me.

That was accounted for, playing to win means qualify in the case of satellites. I still don't imagine there should be many reasons to be ending up autoallin.

You always want to be the one pushing, not calling, in satellites, and you want to be stalling as much as possible. Combine those two and fast levels and its perfectly possible after 4 or 5 hands to see your stack decimated by rapidly rising blind and no spots and just having to cross your fingers and hold it out
