Feels like i'm just bluffcatching and i'm doubting he'd turn lower pair type hands into bluffs I checked turn cuz ott i don't see him calling , feels like i'm bluffcatching ott already , was basically hoping to showdown my hand

preflop i think calling (cos you want to play pots with the bb fish who is always calling here too if you call and his presence in the pot forces MP to be pretty honest postflop) > folding > 3b vs a reasonably ep open from a nit.
as played flop I prefer a check unless you think he bluff-catches hands like 88/AQ.
turn is very thin value or check-fold.

it's an MP open , not an EP open. secondly BB only played 7 hands , his stats don't mean much. So leaving BB out of the equation i feel like 3 betting a range that might be around the 10% ballpark is EV+ cuz his continuing range is going to be rather slim.

Postflop i disagree on checking the flop. People do defend with like QJs JTs some 9x and middling pairs like 66-TT. OTT I check to induce some of those weaker hands to bet or missed hands like AQ , AK. OTR it's probably a very nutted range when he shoves , 9 x, a turned flushdraw that rivered the nizzles , overpairs. imo.

I don't hate a check call flop. It's a very strong flop for his range so you get yourself in scenarios like this. For example, vs a 14/9 betting 25% of his stack on the turn, you've got to fold there I think. So it asks the question of whether you even get value betting the flop. Vs a 14/9 probably you do not.

I don't mind preflop all that much, you just need to be more cautious postflop. If you can't do that, then don't bother 3-betting the hand.
