Question Top two pair against all-in on river

    Additional stats: HEM
UTG (only 16 hands): VP 38, PFR 6, AF 5, BR 100, FvFCB 50, WTSD 50 (- is this a fish? how do I play against him in general?)
    Hero: VP 25, PFR 16, ST 30, FCB 70, AF 4, BR 71, FvFCB 44

Also, could someone let me know how to input the FTR Hand History Converter Output (intended for copying and pasting into poker forums!) b/c I'm getting error messages (not allowed to use this URL and IMG).

Thank you for your thoughts and feedback!

i tried to convert your hand but something is wrong with the HH you posted here.

you cant convert hands cause you have under 10 posts.

as for the hand i would raise turn bigger, like 6-7 , AQ is unlikely to play like that preflop so that leaves 88 that beats you but that's just 3combos, but there are a lot of aces, FD, Kx, JT that will call turn.

river i think it's a def fold since he could have floated flop and turn with KQ,KJ,KT and these are a lot of combos. you only beat A8 and AT here but i doubt he is such a moron to shove them here, if he is, there will be plenty other hands to stack this guy if he is that dumb or if he is bluffing.

anyway, just my opinion and how i would play the hand.

Ah, then I shall post more

Thank you for your reply! I agree that the turn bet was way to weak to push off or punish many of the possible holdings. I thought that a 2/3 flop bet and a raise on the turn would be scary for my opponent - but, in retrospect, looking at the odds I offered this guy I understand my mistake.

I'm still confused by the size of his turn bet. Why is he betting so small? It could either be a teller bet or blocker bet with a weakish holding (then he'd be scared off rather easily by a raise) or he is trying to build the pot with a monster (in which case I want to get away as cheaply as possible).

Just out of curiosity: had he not gone all-in on the river how much would you have bet?

to me, his turn bet looks like a blocking bet, when he does that kind of a bet i am always thinking he has a draw or a weak A. if he had a monster he would have 3bet you on turn and try to get stacks in on turn, but like he played turn he might have a FD or straight draw that got there.

river sometimes you will get bluffed by busted FD's or AT,A8 or other hands, but since i am kind of nit, i prefer to let it go this time and catch him on a better hand cause he will do it again with weaker hands then yours.

I didn't bother reading through the hand because it's not converted. I, too tried to convert it, but it had no luck. If you'd like to post or pm me the raw HH then I'll convert and post it for you. In the meantime here's a link to help you in this situation:
