Hello everybody! I will attemt to cpr IRC back to life by reviving its most awesome asset: live sweat sessions.

I will follow bbickes lead. However instead of good advice I will offer ridicule and public embaressment.
BUT IT WILL BE FUN FOR OTHERS!

The idea is: we get one guy to play, and some guys with some minor poker success story to their name to give their uneducated opinion on various plays, and we keep on going from there.

I don't know exactly what went wrong with the audio on justintv, but I do know how to work around it. Sorry to whoever tuned in and just heard me cough and ramble and noone else.

I'll still call it a success.
For the next one we're going to use a prerecorded session just so we can pause/fast-foreward and use pokerstove/flopzilla/PT if we should need to.
So anyone who wants in: just record a session and send me it!

I don't think today's went too well - maybe that's a result of it being live and only 4-tables? hard to revisit/explore decisions when they need to be made in a fifteen second timeframe, and easy to go nowhere with things for a while. Add in confusion, e.g. when i start talking about a hand from 5 minutes ago and others assume i'm talking about the hand in front of us being played now...

obviously i like the pre-recorded session idea.
I think this idea has heaps of potential.

I agree with daven. I went in kind of underprepared and still struggling with the justinTV part, which was unnecessary. If it is to be something that should be watchable for other people it needs some more preparation.

12:44 - with 88. Raising, folding or calling all seem super gross

22:55- with AJo. (Player is tagged as a fish b/c he's 1 tabling) Can I value bet the river? AcJ, KcJ QcJ might be in his range but he might bet turn with them. Seems like a busted draw (AcX, KcX) but it would suck a lot if he check raised

26:22- with KQs. The Villain is a agro fish and his line makes no sense, I probably should of took more time to think on the river but I feel like he is doing this as a bluff/with hands i beat eg QJ, KT, doubt he takes this line with a Ace

39:03 - with 65s. Cbet? no Cbet?

48:41- with TT. epic or spewy call? value range is 66, 77, 6x KsXs but XsXs seems like they bluff here some% of the time and villain is a agro fishy

so, best for the sweat is if one participant plays host via teamviewer and is playing this file. They can then pause and/or replay as and when required.

How long of a session should I record? i dont want to make it too long in case peeps want to download, but on the other hand, i could just host via teamviewer, in which case I guess size wouldnt matter.

also, whens the next sweat review session gonna take place? im stoked to make my game more +ev

Woot! Thanks everyone. Next one won't be before next Wednesday because I don't want to set a date that I might not be able to keep. Plus now that this gets some attention I also want it to be good. I'll post time and date ASAP. Time will be the same. It's either Wednesday or Thursday.

oh ok, i just stopped my recording, but i think it was like 1.5 hrs or so. also, do you know if camstudio can compress existing video files? these get a bit large

allllllrightey. so, i turned down the quality on camstudio as much as i could while keeping the $$ values legible, but the files still came out pretty big. heres part of my session from last night broken into 3 pieces:
