Default Straight on the flop, lose hand, what do you think?

I was only at this table for about 10 minutes prior to this hand. After he bet the flop, I figured maybe a lower straight or 2 pair. I went AI because he and I were just going to keep raising until he was AI anyhow. PF, I dragged the slider up to raise and then hit Call for some reason, so that's why there's not a raise on this hand PF. Anything I could have done better on this hand? In the end, vs this opponent, this hand is a losing one. Unless he doesn't call the raise I was intending on PF. Thanks for any input you can provide.

What do I think? I think you should read the fucking stickies and stop posting whiny ass bad beat stories in the wrong goddamn forum.

It was a genuine question and not a complaint. Thanks for that though.

On another note, I took a second look at it and see that I answered my own question in the original post. That hand "was what it was" and that's that. Moving on.

it's a dream flop with a dream action on flop.

you go AI with 70% equity vs the tightest range possible ( AJ,AT,JT,AA,JJ,TT,KQ) and get a bad beat... happends...

if money were to go AI on turn, when A straight aint the absolute nuts anymore, maybe then a discussion was posiblle, but i had the same hand ( just that i was calling a MP open raise from BUT ) and i got action on the turn where i shoved, after talking here and stoving diff ranges, on turn was still an AI situation.

why not raise preflop? you have KQo in CO with one limper... i always open raise this hand.

edit: here is the link for a exact hand

read it, i was at beginning very sceptical about going AI on turn, but Carroters range and arguments, as well as other convinced me i did the right thing.

for your hand going AI on flop with the absolute nuts is a dream hand. turn and river are bleah... but what can you do?

All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

Agreed. Thanks for your insight on that hand. I don't complain about beats, but I assume (at times) there may be a lesson therein that someone else can teach me if they look at it. Thanks alot Raz.

By the way, not raising was an accident. Had some sudden distraction in the room and clicked it before I realized. Big mistake.

Raise flop bigger and that is all since you said you intended to raise preflop.
Get twenty thousand worth of ones. Start lettin' that money go. Let it fly. Throw some twenties when my ones gettin' low. Fifty stack. I'ma show you how to ball. Triple that.

How could he ever have a lower straight on this flop???

Don't minraise flop here. You give sets and flush draws good odds to call you.

Then the shove is retarded as well unless you have a read that your opponent is going to call that with something dumb (like bottom two).

So work on your bet/raise sizing (and learn to read boards if you think your opponent can have a lower straight here...)

Finally, don't post results when you post a hand. And as Spoon said, read the stickies.

edit: I withdraw the part about the shove. Shoving was OK given the pot size.

    Two things:
Obviously, be a bit more carefull so that you actually do what you intend, pf raise. Was it too many tables or just a brain fart?

Raise the flop to about $1.15 and call the 3bet.

    to the lead or 3bet?

    you played it terrible.

Next time have him not suck out; I would never have lost this hand after getting all in on the flop

I think I'd just min4b and fold to a shove so we know we are going to lose.
