    Gross spot. Standard villains seem to flat {AK, AQ, QQ, JJ} in these spots pre and are continuing with nearly all these hands post flop with a flat call on flop and turn.

    How many combos are we potentially up against?

    AK = 8
    AQ = 9
    QQ = 3
    JJ = 1

    We only beat AQ, which is likely checking river behind imo, so c/f has some merit. I tend to shove in these spots though and then wonder why I have a tendency to spew.

    I think i bet the turn smaller then you can conceivably b/f the river - i think with the given river card id c/f - cant see many combos that we beat or who will call 3 streets behind.

    And then it isnt like if you check a 25nl 6 max player is smart enough to turn AQ into a bluff so there is no merit in c/c anywhere especially the river either.

    Contradicting all that is you read - which kinda says shove and AQ snaps but i dont think thats the right play against most players

    I bet half the pot and then obviously insta crying call for my last $1.50 if necessary.

    Probably not a very good play.

    But, I think if I check anyone will detect weakness and bet, forcing me to work out whether it is genuine or a bluff and either way potentially make the wrong decision.

    However I like The Bean Counters analysis (although slightly flawed as we hold two of the kings and AJ, QJ combos could also be in there) so I might think about this a bit more in the future, before spewing.

    Yeah, pretty much this. You're committed and far enough ahead... plan on hating that decision sometimes.

    Hey mothers I was just checking cos it occurred to me it was hard to get to the river with AQ and then call a river bet too. That makes all options good options, ya naaaaaaa!!
    If this makes no sense know I'm fucked with some of the greatest fish ever!! Oh yeah!!

    I'm almost certain you ran into queens full or quads but it's still an easy shove

    ^ yeah, this
    makes me want to look at earlier streets more, i don't think the river is the most important decision in this hand.

    Can't see villain calling two streets with AK without two spades.

    I give him AKss QQ JJ AQ, so I jam this happily.

    Fact he calls flop and turn rather than raises on this board given the A9o hand is what makes me want to c/f. I understand your angle though, which has got me thinking.

    The A9 was blind war shit. I dunno how much history they had, it was early in the session. Villain wasn't that aggro really. I wouldn't expect him to raise any hands on this board given positions.

    Ah, I like shove too then.

    A9o is a standard stack off in the CO onward against most semi competant ss'ers and is thus irrelavant
