    Default Poker and Macs

I'm getting a new setup here in a week that will be a customized mac with 3 monitors, mainly for my music production but I am going to use it for poker as well, the 3 screens will come in handy...

What I want to know is does using a mac restrict certain programmes I can use? I know HEM doesn't work on mac but poker tracker does so I'll be using that instead. Anyone on here use a mac?

There are always alternatives to the programs you see on windows. Its all about getting used too. I would however suggest getting a PC for poker.

Might be a better option tbh I could use the PC for admin work and poker and keep the mac for the music, would need to use the mac for poker until I could get the finance to set it all up though

how about just running windows on the mac using parralels or a virtual machine like vmfusion . just google it, havent got a mac but buying a seperate PC to play poker seems a complete waste of money when essentially the hardware is the same in a mac its just got a different case and OS.

My personal advice would be a pc with 2 23/27 inch monitors, depending how many tables you play. Although poker software might not take a lot of RAM, tracking softwares do consume a lot and your computer may run really slow at some point, so invest in a good main as well! Good luck!

It's a hackintosh so I wouldn't be too sure on how to get it to windows, wouldn't mess about with it myself as I'd end up wreckin the machine lol
