Overpair on monotone board
I have 370 hands on villain in MP and am completely embarrassed to say that i don't have any notes on him. i guess that's because he's only shown down 8 hands in our time together (should def review those). anywho he's running 19/10.5 with an 11 AF and an ATS of 30 (so he's probably positionally aware). i straight up can't find the other villain's stats...like i copy and pasted his name into PT3 and it can't find him...weird.
anyway i was lost on this whole hand. it was like terms like SD value, draws, equity, ranges and shit were all like an "i dunno"
Full Tilt Pot-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP ($10.28)
CO ($12.88)
Button ($4.60)
SB ($3.90)
Hero (BB) ($14)
UTG ($28.10)
Preflop: Hero is BB with ,
1 fold, MP bets $0.35, 2 folds, SB calls $0.30, Hero calls $0.25
not much to say here...i just know that villain's range is pretty strong.
Flop: ($1.05) , , (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP bets $1.05, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.05
so i have overpair + middle FD, but i'm kinda clueless as to what the best line is. i def wanna defend my ballin equity that i have right now, but donking seems dumb because that fold so many worse hands out and i'm in a pickle if i get played back at, which he's likely to do (unless you like bet/pushing, which seems spewy to me but maybe i just haven't put proper thought into his raising range and calling a push range, but it doesn't seem like i'd have great equity, esp. since his low PFR makes SD's less likely).
Turn: ($3.15) (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $1.57, Hero calls $1.57
i thank jesus that it's one of the few safe cards in the deck. i'm asking for way to much to check here and still get value, but donking seems like an even worse option on the turn than it does on the river because like no hands that i beat are continuing except for 88 and MAYBE an Asx (his WTSD is 15 btw so he seems like a gun and run kinda guy). maybe he even pushes over with a lot of his range that i beat/have 11 outs against and that doesn't seem ideal either (i realize that my lack of notes really makes this tougher).
i check, am grateful that he bets and i call.
River: ($6.29) (2 players)
Hero bets $3,
i feel like i dicked around for too long and now need to get some value out of this hand. my bet seems retarded looking back on it, but i was going for a blocking bet. i was probably better off c/c'ing as a bluff catch, right?
