5bet pre, prob all in, villain has QQ+ AK and we're crushing him. When we call the 4bet, we allow him to b/f his AK on the flop, so we've lost value against like 40% of his range or whatever it is.

As played, dunno why you're puking after flatting his 4bet pre, what did you expect him to do on the flop? I don't want him to fold his AK and there's only one combo he has of flush draws so I call his bet so he can keep firing his AK, but in truth we should've made life much easier by just getting it in pre.

Also, we're not slightly deeper than 100bb, we're 60% deeper, which in my book is a lot.

Really? I give him AK QQ+ for flop cbet and QQ+ for turn barrel. Not folding turn unless Q or A falls.

You calling his 4bet pre bikes, or getting it in?

No players sub-100nl can 4 bet QQ pre here - I wanted to fold the flop but the turn is a 100% fold (which I didn't do being stuck 5bis for te session).

Guess I read these nits wrong. I expect a 9/8 to be 4betting QQ+ AK, calling a 5bet shove with the same range, and I don't expect them to check overpairs on the turn when they have initiative.I definitely give villain QQ here, which is why I'm so wat about calling pre and folding turn. But if this guy can't have QQ, well I'm setting money on fire if I put it in his range and make my plays based on him having it.

I must admit I'm not paying enough attention to sizing. My bad, I should and not doing so is a big leak.

For this villain I agree with this. As a generalization I completely disagree.

    *edit* what was the turn?

Probably less say $1.50 as Id 3 bet a lot here with polarised range against TAGGY players - less polarised against a nit such as this leaving quite a bit behind in a sizeable pot when i have position on all the action.

Not enough players in these games would 3bet QQ/Ak outside a blind battle - not a lot of 4 betting light or aggression against light 3 betting.

Starts to change a little at 50nl - certainly at 10nl and 200nl is pretty aggro.

I'm 4betting QQ at 25nl vs lots of villains. Not this villain, but perhaps vs hero, depending how often he 3bets and how often continue to 4bet.

Seriously considering flatting pre depending on reads on limpers and the nit's F23b stat.

I think a 9/8 FR nit has AK here never.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Not to bump a thread that was off the first page or anything, but I usually flat the PFR pre. Against most limp fish and most nits, we're getting waaaaaay more value from the fish than we are against the nit.
