Default ideas on play - deep ip vs maniac

sitting at an ante table couple of seats to the left of an 80-60-15 who is 2500 bb deep, i'm 340bb so don't even come close to covering. I'm reasonably new to the table, villain seems to see all flops pretty much regardless of price, table is reacting in various ridiculous fashions. Nobody at the table is really much good at poker. Some winning regs, but none of the tough ones.
From what i have seen so far, maniac is fairly passive postflop with weak made hands and draws (3rd pair is a draw to trips etc), and very aggressive with what he perceives as nut hands - as an example I have seen him raise to 400bb effective with top two on a 3 flush 3 straight board, fool nit reg who covered snapped it off with an overpair and went on chat tilt.

How to play in general here?

also, holding KK, maniac limps, i iso to 7x, 2 callers behind, maniac re-raises to 33bb...

obv 4b/6b get it in and suck out vs his aces

3bet big a really wide value range and no bluffs preflop. Flat all remotely playable hands since your implied odds are good and people won't squeeze you from the sound of it. He'll probably put in lots of money with top pair on dry boards e.g. Kx on K74r.

Just get in lots of hands with him and be sure you're ok with losing huge pots.

I would be careful 3b'ing him being so deep, no need to open up betting vs. a maniac capable of anything..

flat him in POS w/ good whips and chains hands(dominating), and don't buff.

Any chance a worse hand over-calls?

3 betting him in position can do a lot of good things. It's a no brainer to 3 bet a wide range for value, especially if it's possible to iso him.

ok, so im obv not well versed in super-deep play vs. maniacs.

its fine to playback and get it in this deep?

With him being so passive, play tons of hands with pure equity (as opposed to playability) as showdowns will actually happen quite often. I'd 3bet a non-polarized/top heavy range.

Play tons of nut potential hands such as Axs/PP/SCs. This includes calling preflop vs. him even if he 3bets smallish with stacks so high.

    Don't purely bluff him.

k, I'm def digging what you guys are saying.

I'm curious about general strategy vs. a Pre/post maniac when stacks are 500+bb's, and we have POS on him????
