Default Few hands at $2NL 9Max shallow

Right so I am trying to play 10,000 hands at $2NL 9Max shallow and here are a few hands from the session I just 1 tabled for about an hour and a half played 101 hands and managed to take a few notes.

In the first two hands villain was the same guy, notes I have on the guy the first note is the only I had previous to the first hand.

19/3/14 - $2NL 9Max Shallow - Raised open limper in SB with A9o, bet 1/3 pot on T5Jss board, bet small on Q turn and checked 6 river.

Same villain this hand, I think pre-flop is questionable and I should of just thrown it away but was playing tight all session. I don't think he ever has much on the river. Pocket pairs that haven't bet, bluff, and high A he turns into a bluff. Thought he would of bet a 4 for more.

    SB didn't show
    Outcome: SB won $0.54

Finally this is the hand that made me quit, I think pre-flop is good, but I dont need to continuation bet here as both players in the pot I have already noted are weak. This is the player who won the pot, so I think I just need to check behind here and only bet when I have a made hand.

    19/3/14 - $2NL 9Max Shallow - Posted MP2, min raised pf.
Min raised in MP1 8 handed with AQs, called small 3 bet, small bet lead on QJ6 flop, small bet lead on J turn and called min raise and called small shove on K river. topped up after.
Raised 3x after open UTG limper with AKo.
Open limped MP2 with 22, min bet on 5K7dd flop, min bet on 8 turn and small bet on A river.

    Any thoughts welcome

why play at full tilt with its complete lack of traffic.
why play FR on shallow tables at a site lacking traffic and majority of tables running are 6 max .

    JJ - standard

A9 - id probably cbet the flop and prefer a bet river or check fold than check call

TJ - you could probably raise slightly smaller , cbet smaller and have the same effect and not bleed so many chips when called

Well its the only site I have money on, and totally skint so cant deposit on anywhere so got to stick with full tilt for now.

Hand 2 Yeah could of cbet but 4 players in the pot just put me off :/

Hand 3 Raise smaller pre-flop?? Been doing 3x plus x for limper, but suppose should change that depending on players and stack sizes.

link your stars and full tilt accounts ......there used to be a 20$ bonus for doing that . then you can transfer your roll over to stars and get access to lots of 2nl FR tables .http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/promoti...cket-promotion

Hi tripaces, I'm doing the same as you. Playing 10,000 hands, 1 table, play around 100 hands a session and see how that goes first. I'm at 888 Poker.

Anyway, just looking at your hands. All I'm going to say is that you open much wider than I would and I'm not exactly nitty (maybe a tad passive) VPIP 17 PFR 11 after just under 3000 hands so far. What are your VPIP/PFR stats?

I would have just called the raise with the JJs. Folded the A9o. Folded JTo. I'm still following a Starting Hand Chart which does assume that the other players are doing the same, which they are not because most at 2nl are opening with all sorts of junk.

I could probably open wider but prefer to keep it tight for now and try to only play strong hands in EP/MP.

Folding the JTo would be extremely tight on the button.

    As for the hands.

    JJ standard

A9o prob fold pre. Don't like the river c/c when he's betting into so many players.

JTo - don't like the cbet on this type of board. If I'm betting, I'd probably jam this turn.

I think that your comment about last hand is good. You didn't need to continuation bet like you said, but also for my opinion you didn't have to raise 4xBB with JTo. If you wanted to raise you could only raise 2xBB, and after that only go check, no to raise $0.15 on the flop.
