Default fd & oesd on turn?

Villain is pretty TAGG running 12/5. I put his range in the JJ+, AQ+. I raised pre because co was ats 38% so wanted to test him but once sb calls I know I'm behind his range but we improve a lot on flop. Then the turn comes and suddenly I suspect I'm behind but damn I got a lot of outs!

What do you think he may have that beats you with which he hasn't yet bet or raised? Pretty much all his made hands need protection vs a flush draw or a (better) straight and if he has a really strong hand he still needs to get the stacks in so why would he check the turn and take the chance that you check behind?

I'll grant you that he may slow play a straight. If you are really worried about being check raised, just take the passive line and check behind. Otherwise there are quite a few made hands in his range that would fold to a barrel here I think, and if called you have tons of outs.

edit: I think this is one of these hands where the exercise of putting opp on a proper range street by street is very interesting and beneficial. Try it.

i like the preflop 3bet assuming you are doing it as a bluff...edit, didnt realize he was stealing 38% of the time, i like a call as everyone after me says

interesting spot, i guess id check behind and take the free card. if he leads the river on a blank i'd probably just muck.

I'd be more inclined to call pre maybe idk. As played it looks like a check since you can't really get him to make a mistake ever if you bet.

    definitely call pre

probably check or shove, shoving only works though if he's capable of folding a set here which like no one is.

Call pre. Your hand has tons of value vs his stealing range. If you are going to bluff 3 bet do it with A2s k2s.

Calling is fine preflop. 3betting will be +EV but I think calling is better with our hand. I'd just check behind the turn though.

I would just take the free card and call. Try and see what the river holds.

How many hands we got on villain? <50 and I'd say the range of JJ+ is inaccurate, he could have sets on this flop too, but if we got a large sample that says he opens just 5%, he more likely to limp 77-TT I guess. Also, is villain aware you can 3bet hands like KJs? Again, sample size should help give an indication here, if we have lots of hands on him then he has lots of hands on us. Personally I'm pretty wild with this strong a draw, I tend to play it like the nuts since we have fold equity + plenty of outs, but in this case I might slow down on the turn since he has plenty of sets and straights in his range, and not much we can make him fold. He can easily slow-play a set here, he could be looking to raise the turn after you fire again (which he probably expects since you have to protect your 3bet hand). I don't think he folds a set since you can so easily have KK/AA here, plus the bluffs. I'd check the turn, but I guess I don't mind potting it to put pressure on his 77-JJ.
