On the BTN with a gut-shot

Default On the BTN with a gut-shot

PF raiser seems straight forward with stats of 18/10 over 41 hands. No stats on other player involved.

Is this a good spot to call in the hope of making a gutshot? I'm not really sure since the flop betting line looks like it may just be a standard c-bet, so we may not be getting the implied odds to call here, right?

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($9.65)
    UTG ($9.05)
    MP ($10.45)
    CO ($10.27)
    Hero (Button) ($10)
    SB ($16.62)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, 10
UTG bets $0.30, 1 fold, CO calls $0.30, Hero calls $0.30, 2 folds

    Flop: ($1.05) K, 7, 6 (3 players)
UTG bets $0.70, CO calls $0.70, Hero calls $0.70

    Turn: ($3.15) 9 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO checks, Hero checks

    River: ($3.15) 3 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO checks, Hero checks

    Total pot: $3.15 | Rake: $0.21

Yeah we shouldn't call here simply for the implied odds of hitting our gut shot. Utg should c-bet this board with a lot of his range if he's straightforward so like, if we're HU with him I don't mind floating with our gutshot with the intention of taking it away when he checks the turn.

When CO calls the flop bet I'd rather raise here than call since utg will/should fold less than top pair and CO has a lot of underparis and shit he can fold as well much of the time. I'd want to know a bit more about both of them though to do this. I think folding the flop is better with the info you have so I'd just do that.

I was thinking this is a good spot to c/r with our outs. Especially since there are plenty of turns we can double barrel on if called, any club, anything that completes the straight, a 9, T, etc. Take it away from UTG on the flop. I'd advocate calling if there wasn't a FD on the board and with CO calling it, its possible he has a FD, and that taints 1/4 of our outs.

    <dranger> ?

    Nevermind, just did.

@OP, you aren't getting the implied odds to call.

@Carrothead, this would be a decent spot to float if the guy in the middle didn't call, if our opponent's range wasn't super strong, if our opponent probably wasn't firing on almost every turn, and if we had more than 3 outs when the rest of the money goes in.

I wouldn't fold flop sometimes, but I called, I would definitely bet the turn and river. calling just to hit is bad, because people are so nitty in 3way pots.
