    Default AQ preflop squeezed

UTG is 10/7/2.0 nit over 45 hands. Two players to my left are tight, so I'm hoping to see the flop HU. The 20/15/1.4 BTN (95 hands) squeezes. His 3b = 4% (1 of 28 chances).

What's Hero's best play, including first action after UTG open? Thoughts?

    Merge - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    SB: $4.00
    BB: $4.00
    UTG: $6.04
    Hero (MP): $6.54
    CO: $2.24
    BTN: $4.00

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has A Q

UTG raises to $0.12, Hero calls $0.12, fold, BTN raises to $0.54, fold, fold, fold, Hero ??

    fold pre as played fold

you have terrible relative position post flop if anyone else comes along plus UTG is a nit it's going to be hard to make much money with your hand

you're thinking of back raising and this is not the spot to do it.

Look at that. I gave good advice. Most of the time I get blasted.. maybe I am learning something.

Wouldn't give this nit any action, at best we'll win a small pot postflop.

Folding to the BTN squeeze because his range is strong as well, can't assume he's bluffing much if at all.

pros and cons of each first action?
    fold pre
    call pre
    3b pre

nothing wrong with folding as played oop and often dominated by someone who doesn't seem to be too active on the 3b button

    Nice hand, now fold.

I see no reason to defend against a squeeze in this spot.

Squeezing a nit with the blinds to act is a spot where he's going to run into a hand often enough to not be able to profitably bluff a lot.

Unless the nit has a post-flop leak we can exploit, we're probably just going to be folding most of the time he enters the pot.

    Thanks, guys!

By the way, I folded to the squeeze. My big question was earlier, do I even flat the open raise from UTG-nitty? If I'm flatting him, I need to wait until he's in MP/CO and I'm on/near the button. Otherwise, open-fold AQ. No decent expectation.

    Will do.

I fold to utg nit's raise.....You're not in great position and are behind his EP range imo

AQ is a good hand and 10/7/2.0 nit over 45 hands is probably just a run of cold starting hands.

    I don't think pre-flop is a mistake either way.

    First action: Fold
    Second action: Unpost
Third action: Find a better table
