Default AK hits against tagg could I have gotten more value?

So here is one where I find myself wondering if I should have c/c or c/r in order to get more value. Villain is very tight like 10/8 over a mid sample size so I put his range somewhere around AQ+,JJ+ and with me having blockers etc I just wonder if I should have given him the opportunity to either try and rep or think his JJ, QQ type hands are best?

I think he checks the flop behind with his QQ-JJ type hands, but he might call a delayed cbet with them and if he is straightforward he probably bets all his AK-AQ when you check.

On the downside, you take a chance by giving a free card to his one combo of flush draw or his 2-3 outers, and there are reverse implied odds for your hand when he hits.

As a sidenote, I tried for once to slowplay my aces yesterday in a BvB situation, and it horribly backfired when he hit trips on the turn...

looks good, i like betting there, wouldn't go for the delayed c-bet unless there were no draws on the board

    edit:
I'm not sure about this, but I usually figure tag cold-callers have equal parts big aces, pps, and suited broadway/connectors. When you bet here, you get value from the aces and charge the fd's, but fold the pps. When you check, you lose a street of value from the aces, give a free card to draws, in order to get value from the pairs. So probably betting is better. If the board was completely dry, you'd have more options, esp if you had position.

Very few flush draws in his range, if any (we block with the Kh).
    He bets his AX.
He checks behind with his PP (2 outers)

-> risk of being outdrawn is very limited

AhQh is his only drawing hand. Basically, there are no draws on the board.

Delay c-betting can be alright here. Honestly, you're not going to be exploited at this level if you delay cbet with AK and cbet your bluffs here.

easiest flop check ever v a villain like this no matter what stakes you are playing unless they are paranoid and don't fold 2nd pair. typically v these guy though u'll only get 1street against 2nd pair so it doesn't really matter when you get it.
