i figured i wasn't going to get 3 streets of value from a lower PP, or maybe even Qx. so after utg calls flop, if i check turn i can get away with a bigger vbet on river, since it now looks like my flop bet was FOS.

also thought checking turn allows him to bluff any air he floated with and controls pot when I'm beat here.

your flop bet is never 'FOS' after you fire flop with a megafish in the pot. and lol @ a nitreg floating you on the flop in a 3way with a megafish left to act.

If your plan was to appear weak on the turn with your check so you could bet big on the river, why didn't you bet big on the river?

@ bikes is opponent really going to call 3 streets like that with a weaker Q or worse, except maybe KQ, (I'm not betting QJ on river with someone calling flop/turn). seems like by river only better are calling worse are folding. with m2ms line it looks weaker and now i might get called by worse on river



also as played if i get shoved over on river am i calling? i probably beating nothing that raises so EZ fold?

Why check flop with fish in the pot. bet all 3 streets for value from the fish. You aren't really going to get value from the reg enough he to try and weaken your range on the flop imo.

i think this is a spot where a lot of people may miss out on some value by not squeezing pre. as played i'm looking to get three streets from any Qx/middlish pairs the fish is willing to put $$ in the pot with.
