10NL facing river lead

This guy was 26/7 over 46 hands, I think some of that sample was from way long ago but I don't have any notes associated with it.

Recently I've had trouble facing leads on river scare cards, I mean he's repping a straight here right? Possibly I'm not thinking it through correctly, not everyone sees hands/boards the same way.

Anyway jamming seems bad on this card without knowing he's a real station. So just call and take note? Fold even?

I think the Flop needs to be bigger closer to pot sizing. His lead looks like a value bet to me. He has been passive as hell the entire hand and now he wakes up and bets out.... Alarms should be going off.... If this guy doesn't have a str8 here he found a hell of a spot to bluff so cheers to him. But as far as folding I am a monkey so I call this down and take a note... I would never think of raising here at all b/c if he is bluffing he shuts down but if he has it you are going to lose your stack.... so there is no reason to raise. I am curious to see what the more knowledgeable players have to say. Ohh I am new to poker so take this with a grain of salt I am not trying to give you advice but just working through the hand with my "Logic" lol.

What could be calling a raise here that you beat? Is there anything better than your holding that would fold?

I don't think you can find a single hand in either category, so you can't bet.

I guess you can occasionally call here based on reads, he might be the type to bluff the river if he missed the bottom end of the straight with an ace.

Generally though, I'd just fold. As gotigers said, when a very passive player suddenly wakes up on the river (or waits until the river to wake up), it's rarely good news.

Flop bet size is fine, your range should be pretty wide there so I see no need to pot it.

I usually just fold the river and certainly would do so with 1 pair and probably most 2 pair hands as well. However, hands like sets and top pair up I use to look these up as you will sometimes see players use the scare card to bet/fold some strong hands that didn't nut on the scare card.

Why has he got tonnes of 7s or 2s in his range? Can see more 2 pair than straights even higher sets but not straights if he had em he already had em a2 and 67. How much other 7x is there that gets to the river? 6x is a fuck tonne more likely, unless you have reads he calls down with a naked 7 here I'm certainly looking him up. Levelling myself? Stations gonna station!

i dont like to call and i dont like to fold this spot.

but i will choose folding due to his line . A2/55/TT/67 will raise the turn more often then they will c/c 3 way that board, so that only leaves A7s/78s/79s/77/66 that got there on the river and if i think he has more 66/77 then he has A7s/78s/79s on the river and the odds are good to call, i prefer folding because i dont see what worse would take this line.

I think he can have hands like 65s/64s/66/A6 sometimes which might lead rather than checking and being unsure with what to do. Only 7x hands I expect him to have here are a slowplayed 76s, 75s and 77, I'd expect 76s/A2 to raise most of the time though. So looks like a call.
