Default Should i give up my bluff on the river?

10/25HK dollar 9-handed game(10/25 sb/bb,500-5k buyin). Villian is a semi-loose passive timid guy who seems to slowplay his big hands a lot. I open $125 with from MP, everone folds to villian in bb who calls. Our Effective stack is 4k.
flop($250): villian checks, hero bet $200, villian calls
turn($650): villian checks, hero bet $400,villian smooth calls once again
    river($1050): villian checks, hero ?
Any comments on my flop and turn play?

    semi-loose, passive, timid guy.

    1) He's check/calling with any pair, two pair, and sets (he may have been planning to ruin your day on the turn with his set, but got scared of the flush card)
    2) He's check/raising a flush
    3) He's check/folding a straight draw (which you beat)

Pretty much all of those suggest that you should check the river

Where I play, the hand is deemed dead when you turn over your cards...

I wouldn't cbet the flop, it's such a good board for his range (all SC's have a piece, 99/77/66/55 won't fold to one bet, flush draw as well) and a bad one for our perceived range. Only hands we'll take him off are broadways and some better Ahi hands. We don't want to build a big pot vs this guy in this spot imo.

Checking back lets us see what he does on the turn. Any A/J/9/7/6/spade improves our hand, if an K/Q comes we can represent it if he checks. Some implied value in hitting our bdfd vs all his monsters.

River as played, he has more nut hands than average that are never folding, pairs that will call you a decent % on this brick and the odd missed draw. Check and win vs the draws to put him on tilt.

yeah,My cbet is a bit optimistic vs his BB calling range on this flop.I was just thinking that i can DB lots of good cards on the turn.so cbet might be a good idea with my potential equity.

Our history is that i DB my top set on monotone coordinated flop and got shoved on the turn by this guy(i folded). My image is pretty clean.
Do u think that his range on the river is still very strong after calling my two big bets? He can still have some stubborn QcQx,JcJx and Ts,8s with Ac in his range. Trip barrels is probably risky vs this passive villian who loves to slowplay his big hands.

Fight this. Ask to see their rules, and have them show you where it says this. Then find out who runs the place and send him copies of every other set of rules ever printed.

    My default is check/fold.

Based on your read that he likes to slow-play big hands, he doesn't seem like type that's capable of making this fold often.

That said, if you think he is, I'd fire that third barrel. You definitely could have the flush.

You only need to win a bit less than half the time for it to be profitable.
