Preflop spot w/ broadways

    Default Preflop spot w/ broadways

Villain is 42/22 3bet of 12% over a smallish sample size

From what I know about PLO (not that much) we are crushed vs AAxx and not much ahead of lower rundowns. Is this the type of hand we want to call and try to flop dominating draws? Or can we 4bet/get it in since most his range won't be AAxx given he's 3betting 12%???

you have position and he has the initiative (i talked about this in other post), this is good for you, I'd take a flop. Unlike HE you don't want him to stop 3 betting you OOP, if he wants to do it all day it's OK although you should obv increase your standard to open a bit. Playing huge pots with quality hands IP means you win. Given the high 3 bet if you were in EP and him CO/OTB I could see getting it in. Even there if he is c betting a lot I would still rather take a flop and CR the good ones.

I think your fold to 3bet should be =0% in this spot, not jamming this hand tho

certainly a hand you may consider folding OOP to a 3bet, although I wouldn't do it in that spot either.

I'm bandwagonning on alex's learning of PLO.. I keep trying it intermittently and stopping and starting again.

on the topic of 4betting this type of hand vs a habitual 3bettor, does 4bet bluffing even exist in PLO? (ie: 4bet/folding)

nah, although you will call a 5bet every now and then and c/f flop but usually it goes

    raise>get 3bet>4bet bluff>get 5bet>call and flop a piece>stack-off

FWIW people raise so rarely at least at 1/2 & 2/4 (and 3 bet much much less) your 3 bet/4 bet strategy really doesn't matter much as long as it isn't retarded - meaning you do it with a bunch of non AA pairs. Maybe 10% of the pool 3 bets wider than AAxx and a lot of those just add in good KKxx which is almost totally wrong. I can think of about 5 players on FT/Stars 1/2 who use lots of 3 and 4 betting in what seems like a useful way, and you shouldn't be on their right anyway. don't have the sample at 2/4 yet.

I three bet AA hands here and there but people read you so much for a big pair (and until they have a read they should) it's really just a good way to not make money when you flop a set. Much better to have the rundown and win the Axx boards anyway. Image the sklansky you collect with QT97ds when they fold 6544 on the AT4 board!

This okay? UTG runs 33/17 with a big 4bet%. Should I just fold pre if I expect him to 4bet so often, or does that mean I can happily shove here?

Dunno if I did this right.. but assuming CO is raising only KKxx AAxx and UTGs is 4betting broadways too..

    Omaha Hi Simulation
    600,000 trials (Randomized)
    Hand Pot equity Wins Ties
    asks9dtd 27.46% 161,555 6,449
    aa**,kk** 37.68% 224,234 3,700
    aa**,kk**,bbbb 34.86% 207,245 3,904

Means I have about 27% equity, close fold?
