Default PLO $10 - 3nd nut flush OOP on wet board

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha, $0.10 BB (4 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com

    Hero (SB) ($30.86)
    BB ($31.95)
    UTG ($35.82)
    Button ($22.44)

    Preflop: Hero is SB with K, J, J, 2
UTG raises to $0.43, Button calls $0.43, Hero calls $0.38, BB calls $0.33

    Flop: ($1.80) 8, 4, 7 (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Button checks

    Turn: ($1.80) J (4 players)
Hero bets $1.70, BB calls $1.70, 2 folds

    River: ($5.20) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.98, BB raises to $19.92

    Preflop
I just completed in the SB, because opponents at the table are pretty loose and my hand have decent implied odds (better than the reversed) imo even OOP.

    Flop
OOP 4 ways, I could lead but, I think this would be much better if there was 3 or fewer players. So i checked planning to call a bet or check-raise bluff if it get bet called.

    Turn
Flop checks though, and I turn topset which is good even though the J completes a lot straights or give a lot of draws. I chose to bet because I have 16 clean FH outs. and some flush outs, let's say I have about 4 discounting 3 spades due to reverse implied odds (don't know if there is any decent way to estimate this) So i bet pretty big for value/protection fwiw.

    River
Villian calls turn and I river the second nuts, I def. think I have to bet for value, but then Villian raises big, would like to hear you thoughs here in this spots??

Hi guys. I'am pretty happy with the action I chose on the river, what are yours thoughs??

    Thx in advance

I feel like folding here is the best. The majority of the time he is going to have the nut flush with a raise like that. With a marginal hand he would just call instead of raising knowing he will rarely get called by worse.

This is one of those spots where he has the nutters almost always. He'd have to be very bad to even think about calling.

Also consider that because there was no bet on the flop, the flush being a backdoor draw doesn't really apply any more.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Without specific reads its a fold. I mean if hes a thinker he could make this play with the naked As if he had something like AsKdTd9d etc. But i doubt it, he bet like 5/6 of the pot. Most nut blocker bluffs are full pot which would be $25.12.

I think I like your play up until the River. I like a check/call better there because any boat you lose and I thought you stated 3rd nut flush draw but didn't you mean 2nd ? having the K high f draw ? When, villain RR pot IP on the River, you have to know you are beat. He must have the A high flush and I also feel that this is where your HEM2 or PT4 is paramount to this hand. Do you have data on your opponent? If he is any type of TAG or NIT then your def beat ! Even the fish you may have to give credit to here (sad but true) ... however I may like a call to a fish RR pot on river.

You said you were pretty happy with your play on the river. It's a lot easier to see and to critique and be critiqued on paper but you do not have nuts you have 2nd nuts (and if I am missing something here please point it out as I only want to help and get help myself with the vision that I have as an intermediate plo player.) He could also hold the 56 (but only the fishiest fish could re pot on river with str8)

Other than that I love your hand on the turn but you know how every street can change dynamics big time. Yes, there is only the A high flush that beats you on the River and he is def repping it. Also, he could have the ACE blocker ... so that needs to be a consideration and I feel the fish aren't in tune enough to make the river play with just the blocker ... however, a solid player would/could.

So, I feel the check/call on the river is optimum play. Will you post the spoiler later ? Thank for the post Capua

Ahhh that feeling when you get potted with the 2nd nuts

Would it be more of a call if you weren't so deep?

As it is, I think he has to have it, he's not doing that with a straight unless you have very specific reads or history.
