Default PL100 rush: sucks to be villain

600BB deep. What should UTG do here?

    CO: $128.85
    BTN: $38.45
    Hero (SB): $596.75
    BB: $200.45
    UTG: $611.75
    MP: $100.00
Hero posts SB $0.50, BB posts BB $1.00

    Pre Flop: ($1.50) UTG has T A 9 Q
UTG raises to $3.50, fold, CO calls $3.50, fold, Hero calls $3.00, fold

    Flop: ($11.50, 3 players) 9 J 3
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO bets $11.50, Hero calls $11.50, UTG calls $11.50

    Turn: ($46.00, 3 players) 8
Hero checks, UTG bets $46.00, CO calls $46.00, Hero raises to $230.00, UTG???

at first didn t understand but i just got it...

my answer is that utg should flat and bluff shove all board-pairing cards on riv to get HERO off a chop, also he should check call all rivers where he still has the nuts just in case HERO is blocker bluffing
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

You would fold QT with low spades?

I doubt I would but I think it's the best play sitting here

I agree. I'd def call with nut spades though. Villain actually jammed, which indicates that you don't want to rathole in these games. I didn't hit my freeroll unfortunately.

Agree with drmcboy, but regardless the flop and turn is not optimally played, c/c on the flop multiway is usually burning money unless your guaranteed to get paid and even then you only have 5 nut outs which is possibly taken by the other players, your hand is pretty much worthless on the flop. Turn c/r is fine and "Standard" but as your thread indicates any decent player will call being so deep and can put pressure on you on the river when any card changes the nuts. Unless you can comfortably bluff or bluff catch the majority of rivers then your turn c/r is pretty sub-optimal.

Leading here is generally way superior sure you get that second barrel but you show insane strength by c/ring the turn allowing a competent villain to make your life miserable and if he checks behind you miss value you could have gotten from the other player. It also allows you to bet this turn with a much wider range if you can have the nuts as well, as well as controlling the pot size because most rivers are going to suck especially 3 ways.

If you check the turn, c/cing is almost better masking your range since you can never have the nuts 3 ways, and if it bricks off you can make tons of money from worse hands.

Just getting into PLO so forgive me for bumping months old thread.

IMO villain should fold flop, since he's oop with a six-outer draw, and when he makes his hand he can be owned badly like he was in this hand. I'm already learning fast that I don't want to be calling straight draws on 2tone flops unless I have the nut redraw or a set.

Without knowing what hero's hand is, it's tough to know what I'd do on flop. With a wrap+nfd, I'm b/c, not sure with an oesd+nfd, probably c/c. Turn I'm b/r/jamming, I'm happy to get it in now obv with nuts+nfd, same again if I have nuts+boat draw. Naked nuts I wouldn't be in the hand come the turn.

I find doc's first post interesting... I guess I'm missing a great many bluffing oppurtunities, but isn't this a little dangerous? Villain can't know if hero is jamming with a full house or flush redraw, so shoving a paired river to push hero off a chop seems pretty wild to me.

I got a lot to learn in this game, so I appreciate any critisisms to my thought process.
