been playing ofc on an android app. Games are reasonably competitive with most people not just fucking around. Thought some of the below stats might be interesting. Ignore the offline stats as that was me fucking around. Looking at the online stats, ie competitive games against other people, I though it was interesting that a win % of less than 50% can still give an avg pts per game figure of over 3.

Is that matches won or rounds won? If it's rounds won it just means you usually win by more than your opponent. It also looks like you're being too aggro based on that foul % but that's from a figure I heard from a Barry Greenstein video of around 15%.

It's just one round games.

Yeah agree 38% is waaaay too high for a foul %. From, the sample I've played (a few hundred rounds) neither me or my opponent has gotten anywhere near that even when trying to play aggressively.

I agree w/ carroters. I'd focus my learning on simply avoiding foul for the short term.

Avoiding foul (I.e. going for high frequency, low value) is usually far more winning than going for low frequency, high-value in OFC.

I think you can pull your winrate up a ton by just playing less aggressively when you don't have a huge payoff and relatively good chance of making it.

Knowing when to break your draws is huge.

Yeah, the foul percentage is higher than the 15% Barry mentioned. Deeb fouls a lot more than Barry, right? What's Deeb's percentage?

We'll be adding stats to the ftr game at some point but first we need to get more players and more games. One of the ways we hope to get more players is to allow facebook logins.

But doesn't the avg pts per round of 3 pts fly in the face of what you guys are saying? Admittedly the competition is pretty soft but there must be something going right.

Just because something is +EV doesn't mean it's the most +EV thing.

Also from what I've read (which is very little) OFC is swiiiiiiiingy so 700 games probably isn't really a big enough sample to draw any real conclusions on win rates. Fouling too much I'd imagine is more well defined by that sample but as to how much I dunno
