Default JT, flopped trips, what to do on the turn? (2/5)

I raised JTs on the BTN, standard raise against limpers with a 100BB+ stack. $2/5 live. I am pretty new to the table so I have no reads and villains have no reads on me.

Villain is a middle aged, likely live home game player. Does not seem like an online player.

Two people call. To the flop of $75.

Flop is J4J. I flop trips! There is a club draw out there. A villain leads out out $40. I decide to raise it up to $120, $80 more to call for the villain.

The villain calls. Turn is an ace, not adding or completely any draws. Pot is now $215. Villain leads out $85.

    Hero?

It seems to me you only have two options. You can call, or you can shove. Min-raising, or raising smaller just seems like turning your hand face up. Shoving makes folding pairs and aces very easy for him.

I would probably just call the $85 and then either call his river shove, or raise to all-in yourself.

based on the action he probably doesn't have an overpair, and he probably doesn't have a draw.

I really feel like you're up against AK, AQ, AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, J9 and some medium pairs, here alot. Alot of that range beats you, but after his turn bet, you have less than the pot left in your stack, so you're not folding trips. Just play it for value and hope for the best.

Why did you raise the flop?

I raised the flop because of the possible flush draw, and the fact I lead out pre-flop. Most players know this is the kind of board that's not likely to hit me, so by raising I can get value and he's less likely to think I have a hand than if I just smooth called.

Additionally, if he doesn't have a club, and he actually has a hand, if the third club comes on the turn it will likely shut down my action.

(That was my thought process, you're welcome to criticise it, should I have played it differently?)

Am I not only behind AJ, KJ and QJ in that range? I tie with JT and I'm ahead of J9.

I can see merit either way on flop, given you're here this way I'd raise turn. The A either hit his Ax FD hand and he's not folding, or he's making one last play with a pp.
