Default I was done for the night after this hand...

    $5/$10 1k max.

Opponent likes to limp a lot with no-brainer raising hands, traps too much and is generally passive but value bets the shit out of his best hands. In smaller games people pay him off I guess. He recently dropped over 10k in the $10/$20 game.

    He's got about 1Kish

    Some idiot limps
    Opponent makes it $90 flat
I call in the SB with :Kh: :Ks: (I would snap fold AK, hate fold QQ)

    Flop is :Qs:

Check, $180, tank.... (such a retarded spot I've never ran into online).. call

    Turn is :Tc:
Check, $500, I'm tired, tilted and fold face up then rack up.....

hmm i dont like it.. even if you think his pfr is small, i still need to 3-bet oop there with KK. i could warrant a call IP, but oop you hate life when any broadway but your K flops given your read on the guy.

What's your reason for flatting from the SB?

He's pretty much repping JJ+ maybe AK here. I don't think it's AK.

This sounds reasonable to me, I think I would have reraised PF also.

If he's reppping JJ+ and I re-raise he gets away from the worst hands in his range?

    Such a fucking retarded spot...

Maybe I'm reading the HH wrong, so let me get this straight: One limper, villain makes it 4.5xbb, you would snap fold AK here and villain only has JJ+.

Its 5/10, the 10/20 was a different game. Villain makes it 9x behind a limper.
Just dipping my toes back in.

lol, funny hand. I think it looks perfectly fine. I'd still 3bet pre for measly 100BB though.

Get it all-in, but I see your point.

What's my counter to guys over-betting pre-flop with the top of their range? My original thought was to flat AA/KK and get it in. Now I'm wondering about KK. Certainly I love to re-raise these guys when they make smaller raises and limp...

well, i figure if you're flatting with KK here, you're looking to dodge AQJ on the flop, which will happen more than half the time. For 100bb's, it seems like the hand would be played much smoother if we 3-bet pre, and mark it down for a cooler if we run into the nuts. if it were deeper, it gets a bit trickier obv.

you didn't mention anything about how often he folds to 3-bets pre though.

QQ/JJ/AK get away more often than not. Worse always folds. He might set mine without odds.

let him set mine QQ/JJ then, if he plays back after your 3-bet, then you can evaluate from there. don't you have a wider 3-bet range here for him to play a bit wider than you suggest?
