How come most poker rooms have 2/5NL has their highest game?

Most poker rooms have 1/2nl. But it seems like you have to only go to the big poker rooms if you want to say play 2/5nl. Is there a reason for this? In AC, theres just one place to play 2/5nl and that is the borgata. Every poker room on the boardwalk doesnt have 2/5 unless its Taj.


Even in vegas most rooms dont have 2/5nl unless its bellagio, wynn, aria or venetian.

economy. economy. economy. also have to be invited to i'd say 65%+ of most bigger games.

Harrahs's and Caesar's both have 2/5 nl from time to time in AC. More often Thru-Sun eve, especially HARRAHS. New casino here in Maryland ( Maryland Live) has 2/5 NL, 5/10 NL and 10/25 NL as well as PLO, O8 etc. CHeck BravoLive. Poker is HOT here with a Horseshoe Casino coming next year and a MGM (tentative) coming the following year. Maryland live's pokerroom has been busier than The Borgata lately!! Go figure!! Less trips to AC for me, maybe Vegas just for the Sun!!

I would suggest that the tables are set up in most rooms to meet the demand from players. I think you need to give the poker rooms a bit of credit here and accept that they know how to run their businesses.

You just have to ask the dealer and they can ask the pitboss to change it from a 1/2 table to a 2/5 table for you.
