Default Have you ever slow rolled someone?

    Live or Online?

I never did live but online i have. One guy was mouthing me off for whatever reason I cannot remember, twas like a year ago. We were playing 1/2 blinds and i had nut flush and he went all in on river for 90-100 dollars. I waited the whole time ... called the clock ... asked him what he had ect. Right last couple seconds I called and had the ultimate NUTS and won. Needless to say he immediately left the room.

I do it often in free rolls where it doesn't mean too much

Yes, I have, but not in years.

Slow rolling is considered rude by the poker culture at large. If you decide to do it, you will be perceived as rude.

There's no rule in life against being rude, so that's your choice.

Personally, I don't like to add the stress to my situation. Also, I prefer to let other people be the rude ones whenever possible, 'cause I feel bad when I reflect on my own times of rudeness.

Still, it's your choice. Just know that it's probably going to upset people, and there may be consequences to that.

I've never done it on purpose or even on accident that I know of. I've seen people do it accidentally quite a few times.

    I'll slow roll someone if I think the following two things;

    a) Wow, this guy is a dick

    b) Slow rolling this guy is going to put him on tilt/give me an edge.

    Otherwise, I never do it.

Yeah, there are other ways to tilt people so I don't really think about it.

It seems to happen a lot with new people in our home games. A lot of times the new players are slow in general and sometimes it takes them a minute to realize they have the nuts.

Some of my best hands, I do not raise and the people that follow me raise, then raise, then raise. Some days slow playing is easy money rather than raising and people folding after my raise.
It takes 2 years to learn to talk, but a lifetime to learn when to shut up.

Nah I don't like to slowroll even if they deserve it, like the above posters said it's considered very rude and we have enough of that in online poker as it is!

I never slow roll, as my face is too pretty to have it beaten in the car park after.

I'd never waste the time either. Assuming I'm a winner in the game, I'd rather play one more hand in that time and make some more money.

I use to habitually slowroll when I got quads or better. I've been playing just over 3 years, I'd say the first 2 years I habitually slowrolled quads or better at the microstakes and I would laugh and laugh. BUt then it got old plus it was disrespectful and I wasn't even slowrolling people who deserved it necessarily.

I slowrolled once this year there was some trash talking going on at the table because I was miffed someone caught their gutshot against my AA on the turn in a 4bet pot even after I cbet the flop and took my stack (I rebought in after that) I said next time I have a hand I'm slowrolling the next poor bastard that shoves into me, got into a huge 3bet pot about 2 hands later and flopped a nut flush and the guy shoved his overpair into my nut flush and I slowrolled him. That was the one single time I've slowrolled in at least the last 365 days

I'm actually pretty good now at putting the poor bastard out his misery as fast as I can click that mouse which IMO shows a tremendous improvement in behavior, courtesy and respect at the tables on my part.

Every now and then, someone disconnects while they're slowrolling. Knowing that, I won't slowroll, and I laugh at those who do. Keep doing it dickhead.
