girlfriend/wife watching you at live casino tables

Hello,
What is your honest opinion when you see a guy playing cards with his woman watching? I hear that the guy has an ego, they have problems being apart, etc etc. I never change my strategy and my ego is as big as an acorn.

My wife likes watching me, usually pops in and out from slots. She likes the free drinks, I let her take a peak at my hand, and she loves watching big showdowns go down.

Does anyone else have a girl who watches them from time to time?

My honest opinion is, "Yippeeeeee!!"

2 people seeing the cards means twice the tells for me to read... and it's highly likely that one of them is completely unsophisticated and will never 'change up' their behavior.

I never show my cards to anyone for the same reason. My fiancee' is a better poker player than I am, for the record, and I still would never show her my cards. I wouldn't even look at her cards if she was at the table and I was on the rail.

1-tabling live is boring enough, I can't imagine watching it is any more interesting. Like getting knocked out of a homegame donkament and sitting around waiting for it to end.

She likes the chit chat people bring, free drinks, the occasional big hand. She does get up a lot to go play slots sometimes. I have to admit though, I think I play better alone. When I am with her I spend time talking to her, drinking = 2 no nos in poker. I still profit, but I wonder if I can play better. I play a little loose, but I love trapping. People love betting into me.

i have a home poker game where some women might show up , but they don't play simply because their husband is too cheap, or they will say they don't know how to play, so will sit back and just text away on their iphones to whoever about 3 feet away

how can it be a brag to admit he is too cheap to take his woman out properly and just takes her somewhere with free drinks.

I never understand how the woman gets there in the first place. What conversation do they have? "Baby, come watch me play poker. It'll be so fun." Or does she ask to go with him because she actually wants to? What kind of woman actually WANTS to do this? It's so ridiculous, I am always tempted to berate every female I see sitting there doing this.

I think it's pretty comical and wonder if the guy has any clue how boring it is to watch live poker and frankly, if he has any clue about women in general. Obviously that only applies to some situations like this. It's different if the female is just checking in sometimes while doing other things.

As a player at the table I also notice that guys in this situation often play much looser and/or more aggressive-- almost showboating if you will. The reality is that live poker is generally very boring, slow paced, and you often have to fold a lot. I just generally see a rush to make money and usually the opposite happens. I also see a lot of overt tilting in these situations as it is pretty hard to manage the stresses of poker and a relationship at the same time.

Kristen sat and watched me play for about 90 minutes when we were in Vegas. I wasn't just completely ignoring her and was still talking to her, plus she had a book and her phone, so she wasn't just watching me play, but it was her choice to sit there when she could have been out doing Vegas stuff. I only sat for 90 minutes because I started feeling bad. I think since we are poker players and know how to play it would be worse for us, but she was just kind of hanging out and getting a few drinks.
