Default flopped the nuts last night in our nlhe home game

The host announces that we're only doing one more orbit.

There are 6 of us playing .25/.50

I started the hand with about $55 and the late position 3-bet raiser started with about $50.

It folds to me with 6 7 and I raise it to $1.50. Late position player 3-bets to $4.00 and the player behind her calls. Blinds fold and I call.

    Flop comes 3, 4, 5 rainbow.

    I check.

    Pre-flop raiser makes it $7.

    Player behind her folds.

    I make it $14.

Pre-flop raiser shoves and I instacall with the nuts.

    She had JJ.

    Turn and River were blanks.

Reads are important for preflop. Does the 3b'or ever 3b light? Does the cold caller ever have less than JJ/AQs? The flat is fine against a lot of villains with this price and our relative position, but OOP with a low SC and stacks just 100bbs deep, we'll have to be able to run a lot of plays postflop to turn a profit.

OTF it's hard to argue against x/r'ing the nuts obviously, especially if she's gonna stackoff OTF with like the 30th nuts. I think I mostly x/c flop, x/shove turn with both my bluffs and my nuts on this particular board with these particular stacks, but A) that's probably not correct to do (lol), and B) the HH is readless, but if we think this is how she's gonna play a medium overpair, then NH, you played it perfectly.

No, there isn't much 3-betting in this game. I knew the 3-bettor had a strong hand.

As for the cold caller, that's a bit harder. I could see her doing that with some marginal hands. Yes, she could have less than JJ/AQs here.

Both players saw me playing aggressively earlier which is one of the reasons why the 3-bettor didn't believe my check-raise otf. She knew if I had QQ+ then I would have 4-bet preflop so maybe she put me on an ace high type of hand.
