    Default Cruise Ship Casinos

So my wife has me and her booked on a cruise in late April. I'll be on this ship for 6 days... and they have a casino... anyone willing to relate some cruise ship casino experiences? I know they have tables but I don't know what to expect as far as players, experience, etc... thoughts?

I dont have any experience playing on a cruise ship, but I would think you'd see some loose play? Most of the people playing will probably be drinking, and on a vacation of sorts. If you go to the tables with a level head you could probably do pretty well.

You might also run into a couple (probably not anywhere near the majority) of players who will be thinking along the same lines.

The players suck. They rake up to $25.

It's fun playing such fish. It's not fun seeing all that money go down the hole.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

The cruise I was one had a casino with normal games like blackjack and roulette with casino dealers.

The poker table was an electronic table, kind of like a big flatscreen tv facing upwards with a plexiglass cover. Your cards are facedown and you cover them as you would with real cards. Then you tap them (I used the credit card type thing you buyin with for this) and the corners peel up so you can see them.

I noticed that the casino was quite popular but nobody was playing the poker game. So, I devised a plan to start a 2 man game with one of my roomates (who plays hardly any poker but was doing me a favor). We would just take turns folding the button to not pay rake and I was hoping that seeing 2 people at the poker table would get other people interested. Then when we had a game going my buddy could leave without losing any money.

Within 5 minutes of starting the game there were several people standing around the table. Withing 15 minutes we had a few other people playing and more watching. Took hardly any time to get a game going.

The players were absolutely horrible and in some cases completely smashed. Unfortunately I ran bad and had to quit the game because I didn't want to lose too much but sooo wish I could have stayed.

That's my experience, hope it helps you.

True... BUT... when she drinks she sleeps... so since she will probably spend at least one morning to lunchtime sleeping, gives me some free time to sneak away... and after a few days she will be sick of me anyway, so she'll want time to just lay out... another chance to sneak away.
