Default 2-2 KK in BB 3-bet sizing

2-2, straddle is on. 3 people call the straddle, SB who is a taggish online player who recently decided to switch to live. Pretty noobish in regards to live play in that he sucks at protecting his hand when looking at his cards. After the second time I saw his cards I warned him about it. Anyway, he has between 300-350€ and I'm sitting with 240 € or so. He raises to 28 €. I'm BB with KK.

If you 3bet here, how big do you make it? It's a straddled pot so this effectively becomes like a 4-bet pot in terms of size.

Or is it better to call, and hope that some of the fish who limped come along, even when we're OOP? Postflop reads on SB, he has been caught 3-barreling with air a couple times.

I understand why flatting is so appealing because we want to let the SB bluff off his stack and don't want him to fold. But if you are at a standard live table where all three of the limpers will call his raise if you do then I sort of hate it.

Heads up we will have around 75% equity preflop.

Add one limper and we are down to 60-65%. And each other player that enters the pot shaves another 10-15% equity off.

So my standard play here would be to 3-bet and my 3-bet size would really depend on my image. If this were my first 3-bet at the table then I would raise to like 65ish. If people knew my play and knew that I would often set up the commit myself raise here by raising 1/3 of my stack so that I would go all-in no matter what else happened then I would do the same here and raise to 80.

yeah i'm not particularly keen on letting this one go to a flop OOP 4-way. 3bet to somewhere in the neighborhood of $60

Hero raises to 60, all fold to SB who tanks, then calls.

    Flop is

SB checks then turns his head towards me watch my actions carefully.

Pot is 140, Hero has 180 left.

    Hero checks.

Sometimes I bet or push here. Check is fine.

I think I would play it the same way due to the limpers but I would 3bet to either $50 or do what Char said and bet 1/3 my stack. Shoving $180 into $140 kind of sucks so I would check looking to shove over a turn bet. If villain checks turn I would bet out $80 and shove all rivers giving villain 20% to make the call.

This was my first thought also but figured we would be giving draws too good of a price.

check flop, $50 on turn, jam river

He probably won't have a draw often if he's taggish. If he has AQ/AJ of hearts, he'll check-jam it all in; if a third heart comes, we're not going to fold anyway.

Mostly though, I'd bet really small on the flop to get value from hands like QQ/JJ/Tx and to occasionally induce spazz. I'd go $40/$60/$80.

we aren't folding so giving a good price doesnt really matter.

I check here almost always with just a potsized bet left.
