Bwin Poker Rakeback Overview
Bwin Poker does not offer rakeback, but they do offer a very good VIP program which acts as an alternative. You can redeem points for cash and bonus rewards, making it much like rakeback.
bwin is one of the largest online gaming companies in the world, offering “up to 30,000 bets daily with betting action on more than 90 sports.” Their poker room, online casino, and dice games present players with an overwhelming array of entertainment possibilities. And with 22 languages available to suit your needs, bwin truly is a far-reaching company. Their lack of US player support, however, doesn’t follow their claim to be the “World number one in online gaming.”
For those who are eligible, however, bwin offers some of the best VIP-style rewards of any poker client on the net.
bwin’s VIP program, b’insider, features three status levels: green, yellow, and white. All players start off in the green category before advancing to white and then, with hard work and dedication, reaching yellow. The higher your status, the more your Market Points are worth at the Market, where you can exchange them for tickets and bonuses. Here’s what you need to know about the three VIP statuses.
Green status is awarded to all players, even you haven’t played a single hand on bwin yet. Unfortunately, Green status players don’t have much options of exchanging their Market Points and are limited to Sit & Go and Tournament tickets.
While it costs nothing to get and maintain this status, the maximum amount of rakeback equivalent you can achieve is just 13.7%.
White Status is fairly easily achievable at just 400 Status Points (or ~$220 in rake) required every month to achieve and maintain it.
White status holders get the added advantage of being able to trade their Market Points directly for bonuses instead of tournament tickets.
Achieving and maintaining White status can get you a maximum of 15.5% in rakeback equivalent.
The most prestigious Yellow status can be achieved by earning 1000 Status Points (~$550 in rake) per months. Maintaining this status will require the same amount of points to be earned every month. Yellow status holders get access to all the bonuses available at the Market for the best prices.
The highest amount of rakeback equivalent a Yellow status player can earn is 20%.

How to Earn Points
But here’s where things get interesting. Rather than relying on a single form of player points, bwin offers two: Status Points (which determine your b’insider level) and Market Points (which can be spent on a variety of bonuses and tournament tickets at the b’insider Market).
Both can be earned by playing for real money stakes at the poker tables, or even through their sports betting and casino games. The amount of rake needed to earn 1 Status or 1 Market Point is the same for both of them – EUR 0.5 (~$0.56). This number is also the same for both cash games and tournaments.
For example, playing a $100 sit & go or tournament means that you will pay $9 in rake, which means that you will earn ~19 Status and Market Points for playing it.
One important thing for players to note is that bwin has a policy of inactivity, which in this case means that if after 12 weeks of inactivity, 5% of your Market Points start to expire every week.
Using Market Points
A recent trend has seen online poker rooms move more and more towards providing players with the widest ranges of cash bonuses possible instead of offering merchandise in their VIP stores. Bwin is not an exception in this regard. Their ‘Poker Market’ offers players a range of bonuses and tournament tickets which they can purchase using their Market Points.
Regular cash bonuses range from a EUR 40 bonus to a EUR 500 bonus. Keep in mind though, that the bonuses are only available starting at the White status. The bonuses offered are not available right away. Just like a first deposit bonus, they need to be cleared before you can withdraw them. Every bonus also has a 90 day clearing requirement, so if you fail to clear the bonus in 90 days it will be voided.
The Poker Market also offers sit & go and tournament tickets ranging from $0.5 to $500 in value. Unlike regular bonuses, all tickets can be purchased by anyone, they don’t need to be cleared and they don’t have an expiration date. However, White and Yellow status holders will get a better price on them. For example, take the $500 tournament ticket. Green status holders can purchase it for 6,500 Market Points, White Status holders can get it for 5,750 Points and Yellow status holder can get it for only 5,000 Points. The difference between Green and Yellow prices is EUR 750 in paid rake, which makes for a powerful incentive to reach Yellow status.
Sit & go tickets are available starting at $0.5 and up to $10. Spending your Market Points on sit & go tickets will get you the same rakeback percentage regardless of what tickets you purchase. The only this that matters is your status.
Green status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 12.7% from sit & go tickets.
White status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 14.8% from sit & go tickets.
Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 17.8% from sit & go tickets.
Tournament tickets range from $50 up to $500 in value. Just like sit & go tickets, spending your points on these tickets will get you a fixed rakeback amount corresponding to your VIP status.
Green status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 13.7% from tournament tickets.
White status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 15.5% from tournament tickets.
Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 17% from tournament tickets.
Bonuses are the only way to trade in your points that increases in value with the amount you spend. There are four bonus amounts available, none of which, unfortunately, are available to Green status players. If you have White or Yellow status, here is the rakeback equivalent you can get by purchasing the bonuses:
EUR 40 Bonus
Both White and Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 8% from this bonus.
EUR 125 Bonus
Both White and Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 10% from this bonus.
EUR 250 Bonus
Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 14.2% from this bonus.
*This bonus is not available for White status players
EUR 500 Bonus
Yellow status players will get a rakeback equivalent of 20% from this bonus.
*This bonus is not available for White status players
