Clearing the Bonus

To clear the bonus, play real money cash games or tournaments and collect Poker Points (PPs). For every 5 points earned, $1 of bonus money is considered earned.

Releasing the Bonus: Incremental

Bovada releases money from your bonus account to your real money in accordance with the schedule below:

50 Points – $10 Released

250 Ponts – $40 Released

750 Points – $100 Released

1500 Points – $150 Released

3000 Points – $300 Released

5000 Points – $400 Released

Total – 10,550 Points – $1,000 Released

Earning Player Points

You can earn PPs by playing in any real money poker game on Bovada Poker that has a rake or fee. In Bovada Poker tournaments and Sit & Go’s, you earn points based on how much the entry fee costs. For every $1.00 USD in fees paid, you will earn 3 PPs. If, for example, you play a tournament that costs $20+$2 to enter, the entry fee is $2. In this case, you will earn 6 PP (2 x 6).

Note: “Play Money” and “Freeroll” tournaments do not charge a cash fee, and therefore do not award any PPs.

In cash games, PPs are awarded based on the total rake taken multiplied by the PP rate. The table below breaks down how poker points are earned at cash (ring) games.

RAKE CONTRIBUTED = POINTS EARNED

$1.00-$3.00 = 1

$0.50-$0.95 = 0.5

$0.25-$0.45 = 0.25

$0.05-$0.20 = 0.1

If you were playing heads-up with a player and the pot was raked $1, you would be credited with contributing $0.50 rake ($1 / 2 players) and be awarded 1 point.

Clearing Rates

The chart listed above offers estimation of how many hands/tournaments are needed in order to clear the bonus amount. At 50NL, it would take about 100,000 hands to earn the entire $1,000 bonus. Based on tournaments, the bonus works out to be approximately 28.5% rakeback, as it takes $3,500 in tournament fees to get back $1000.

Bovada gives you 60 days to earn the bonus. After 60 days, you will not be able to earn anymore of the bonus.

Bad Beat Bonus

If you take a sick beat, Bovada will give you some cash back in hopes that it might cheer you up. If you end up losing with Aces full of Kings or better (that is AAAKK), you will win 100x the big blind, up to $1,000. In order for a hand to be eligible, it must meet the following terms:

– Only beats at real money Texas Hold’em cash tables count.
– Both of your and the other opponents hole cards must be used at showdown.
– 3+ players must have been dealt into the hand.
– Hand must go to showdown.
– No chat revealing your hand via chat is allowed.
– If your hand qualifies, you have to email poker@bovada.lv (or call 1-866-909-2237) with the hand and table number within 24 hours.

Royal Flush Bonus

This one is actually win/win, since you are certain to win the pot with a royal flush, and on top of that, Bovada will give you 50x the big blind, up to $200. You must meet these terms:

– Only hands at real money Texas Hold’em cash tables count.
– Both of your hole cards must be used at showdown.
– 3+ players must have been dealt into the hand.
– You must win the pot, but the hand doesn’t have to go to showdown. (Just don’t fold!)
– If your hand qualifies, you have to email poker@bovada.lv (or call 1-866-909-2237) with the hand and table number within 24 hours.
