Americas Cardroom has a military themed VIP program called “Elite Benefits.” As a member of Elite Benefits, you’ll be able to earn Combat Points that you can use to purchase things such as electronic gadgets, trips to exotic destinations and even a car in ACR’s online store. The more you play in real money cash games and tournaments, the higher you’ll go in Elite Benefits which will accelerate the rate at which you accumulate Combat Points.
Earning Rank and Combat Points
Once you enlist in Elite Benefits, you’ll earn Rank Points by playing in real money cash games and tournaments which will determine your rank, or VIP level, in Elite Benefits. Your rank will determine the number of Combat Points you’ll earn whenever you play poker at ACR. The number of Combat Points you’ll earn for each Rank Point you amass increases whenever you move to a higher rank.
You will get 5.5 Rank Points for every $1.00USD fee you pay to play in a tournament at Americas Cardroom. If a given tournament’s fee is less than $1.00, you will earn the relevant fractional number of Rank Points. For example, if you’re going to enter a $2.50+0.25 tourney, you’d receive 1.375 Rank Points.
In cash games, you will get Rank Points based on the rake taken from the hands you get dealt cards to play. ACR uses the Dealt Rake Method which means that you don’t have to play a hand or actually contribute to the rake to get Rank Points, you just have to be dealt cards.
ACR awards 5.5 Rank Points for every $1.00USD collected in rake per hand. The Rank Points are distributed evenly between all of the players who were dealt cards in a given hand. If there are eight people at your table and the rake for a certain hand is $4.00, ACR will award a total of 22 Rank Points to the table and each player will receive 2.75, or (5.5 x 4)/8, Rank Points regardless of whether they contributed to the rake or not.
One of the most convenient things about being an Elite Benefits member is that your Combat Points, which are the “cash” you shop with in Americas Cardroom’s online store, do not expire at the end of a given year as long as you earned at least one of them during that calendar year. If you don’t earn just one Combat Point in a certain calendar year, then, unfortunately, you will forfeit all of the Combat Points you’ve amassed on December 31st of that year.
Elite Benefits Military Ranks
The military ranks in the Elite Benefits program can be achieved on both monthly and yearly bases. There are four monthly military ranks, Lieutenant, Captain, Major and Colonel, and two yearly ranks, General and 5-Star General.
Monthly Military Ranks
All you have to do to become a Lieutenant is enlist in Elite Benefits. Once you do that, you’ll earn one Combat Point for every Rank Point you accumulate. You’ll need to mass 750 Rank Points to become a Captain. When you achieve that rank, you’ll get 1.5 Combat Points for every Rank Point you earn. You need 3,000 Rank Points to become a Major. At that level, you will receive two Combat Points for every Rank Point you are awarded. You will achieve the rank of Colonel when you earn 7,500 Rank Points. As a Colonel, you’ll collect 2.5 Combat Points every time you get a Rank Point.
Yearly Military Ranks
You have to earn 100,000 Rank Points in a single year to become a General. Generals earn 3.5 Combat Points for every Rank Point they get. You’ll need to accumulate 1,000,000 Rank Points to be designated as a 5-Star General at Americas Cardroom. As a 5-Star General, you will get five Combat Points for every Rank Point you receive.
Medals of Achievement
ACR’s Elite Benefits program includes 20 Medals of Achievement that you can unlock by accumulating Rank Points. You can claim each of these medals only one time per calendar year. When you earn the following amounts of Rank Points, you can unlock a Medal of Achievement that is worth $10USD: 750, 1,500, 2,250, 3,000 and 4,000.
When you achieve the following benchmarks in the context of amassing Rank Points, you’ll get a Medal of Achievement that is worth $50: 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 35,000, 40,000 and 45,000.
When you earn 50,000, 60,000, 70,000, 80,000 and 90,000 Rank Points, you will be given a Medal of Achievement that is worth $100USD. When you accumulate 100,000 Rank Points, you can unlock a Medal of Achievement that’s worth $200.
Levels of Distinction
In addition to rewards worth more than $5,000, people who achieve the rank of General in the Elite Benefits program, have the chance to get up to 16 cash credits based on the number of Rank Points they earn in a single calendar year. Below is a chart of the Rank Points you’ll need to amass to earn a corresponding cash credit.

Making Purchases with Combat Points
You can use your Combat Points to purchase items in Americas Cardroom’s online store. Unfortunately, you can only purchase items that are available to people of your current rank, meaning the higher rank you achieve, the more options you’ll have to choose from.
Depending on your rank, you can buy poker books, top of the line electronics, a seat in a live event such as the Punta Cana Poker Classic and/or seats in online tournaments at ACR. You can also exchange your Combat Points for cash, bonuses and/or Medals of Achievement.
If you choose to be a member of Elite Benefits, you cannot get rakeback from Americas Cardroom. If you are a rakeback player and want to join Elite Benefits, you can contact ACR at firstname.lastname@example.org and they will perform a one-time account conversion for you which will enable you to start earning Rank and Combat Points.
If you choose to remain a rakeback player, you will earn 27% of what you contribute to the rake every day after 1:00am ET.
100% up to $600 First Deposit Bonus
Open an account with Americas Cardroom today and you’ll be eligible to get a 100% up to $1,000 First Deposit Bonus when you make your first deposit!
You’ll have 60 days to clear your initial deposit bonus by playing in real money cash games and fee-based tournaments. You will clear $1.00 of your bonus every time you collect 27.5 Award Points. While Award Points are awarded in the same manner that Rank Points are, there is a slight difference when it comes to cash games – the number of Award Points you’ll receive in cash games will be weighted based on the amount you actually contributed to the rake in a given hand.
