Those PartyPoker VIPs get some sweet promos!
The 2011 version of Oktoberfest is about a month away, and PartyPoker wants to give their Palladium VIPs the chance to attend. Even if you don’t live in Europe, you won’t want to miss out on this event taking place in Munich Germany. Over 5 million people attend the two and a half week festival every year, making it the largest fair in the world.
To win your way to Germany, you have to participate in the VIP Oktoberfest Races. Once you opt in to one of two VIP Oktoberfest Races, your job is to play as much poker and earn as many PartyPoints as possible. Those that can earn the most points get ranked highest on the VIP Oktoberfest leaderboards.
In total there are a whopping 16 Oktoberfest VIP packages to be won, as well as Apple iPads, iPods, and cash prizes. The higher you place on the leaderboards, the better your prize will be.
Each race awards the top 7 players on this leaderboard with Oktoberfest packages. Those that place 8-25 win $250 cash. Placing 26-75 nets you $100, while placing 76-400 gains you entry to the VIP Oktoberfest and Super Gadget Freeroll.

The VIP Oktoberfest and Super Gadget Freeroll takes place on September 4th and has Oktoberfest VIP packages available for those that finish 1st and 2nd. If you place 3rd through 5th, you win a 4 Gb Apple iPhone. Places 6-10 win 16 Gb iPads, and 11-30 win 64 Gb iPod Touches.
If you work hard and are lucky enough to win an Oktoberfest package, you will enjoy a two-night stay at the 5-star Le Meridien hotel. The hotel, which is in Munich, will provide you and a guest with breakfast.
You also get to attend a dinner and poker event at the Olympic Tower restaurant, the chance to participate in daytime activities, dinner and drinks in a special box at the Hippodrom Oktoberfest tent, and seats in a reserved section of the P1 nightclub. Your transportation for the weekend in Munich will be covered, and you’ll also receive $600 for additional expenses.
Race 1 has already started and it will end on August 21st. Race 2 takes place between August 22nd and August 31st.
You’ll want to participate in both races because there are bonus prizes for those that rank well on both leaderboards. If you finish in the top 25 in both races, you will receive an Apple iPad2. If you finish in the top 75 of both races, you will receive an iPod Touch.
