Online poker tournaments continue to be on the rise as this past weekend another set of major tournaments concluded. Even with Black Friday shocking the online poker world, it seems like it has taken less than a year to completely recover. Even more good news could be on the horizon, as it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Americans return to the online poker market soon. When that eventually happens, US-based players will be happy to see all the major tournaments they once enjoyed have thrived in their absence.
There was nearly $3,500,000 in play yesterday between the six events found below. The biggest tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million, nearly hit the $1.5M mark it had as its guarantee back in April. Other events like the Warm-Up and Party $200k absolutely crushed their guarantees by approximately 50%. Overall, it was a great weekend for online poker.
