FTOPS 13 continued over the weekend, starting on Friday at 2 p.m. with a $200 + $16 no-limit Hold’em 6-max tournament that drew 2,438 entrants.  The prize pool was guaranteed at $400k and once again, the guarantee was exceeded.  The final pool came to $487,600, with 270 places getting paid and a 1st place prize nearing $100k ($96,057.20).

This tournament was hosted by Full Tilt Pro Steve Wong, who ranks 3rd on the Netherlands all-time money list for professional poker players.  He was of course joined by many other “Red Pros”, including Allen Cunningham, David Pham, Scott Fischman and Vitaly Lunkin.  Several of them made it to the money, however, none were able to get very deep.  The biggest winner for the Pros was Aaron Bartley – out in 107th place for $521.73.

The final table of 6 came down to a mix of some very solid tournament players and a few relatively unknown players.  One of these mostly unknown players, thekellster89, would go on to take down the title of FTOPS Event 20 champion and the $96k+ payday that came with it!  There was no deal at the final table of Event 20.  The final table deals have been a great new feature of this year’s FTOPS, as Full Tilt had rolled out their new software just before the start of the series.
