The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) is coming up in January and PokerStars has started running satellite qualifier for the events. This year, PokerStars not only has the PCA Main Event, but a fun and unique new live event, which they are calling the Fish and Chips Showdown.

The Fish and Chips Showdown is a completely new concept. Players will not only compete in poker, but fishing, as well. If you are a master angler who loves to play poker, this event is for you! The two day event, starting January 6th, will feature fishing in the morning of the first day, followed by the start of the poker tournament that night. The second day will finish up play in the poker tournament. The champion will be determined by a ratio of 1/3 fishing and 2/3 poker. Satellites for the event are running now or you can even buy in directly through the PokerStars client.

Another promotion PokerStars is offering is the Jonathan Duhamel Caribbean Adventure. The top prize is a trip for two to the Caribbean! Online qualifiers will be hosted by WSOP Main Event winner and Team PokerStars member Jonathan Duhamel and the six qualifiers will get a chance to take on Duhamel for a chance at the top prize.

Don’t forget the PCA Main Event.  The tournament is held at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in The Bahamas. Last year’s winner, Harrison Gimbel, became the youngest to win the PCA title. He walked away with a staggering $2.2 million! Players can Go to the Events & PCA tab in the PokerStars lobby to register or qualify through the many satellites now running. Maybe you can be the next poker-made millionaire!
