World Championship of Online Poker 2013
The schedule for the World Championship of Online Poker 2013 has been released. From September 8 to September 29, 66 events will feature a jaw-dropping $40 million guaranteed prize-pool. The series will culminate with a $5200 buy-in 2-day No Limit Hold’em Main Event, offering $8 million guaranteed and $1.25 million for first place. Last year’s main event had a $5 million prize pool. With buy-ins ranging from $109 up to $10,300, 14 of the 66 tournaments offers guarantees of $1 million or more. EPT awards €500,000,000 in 9 Seasons
€499,908,22, if you want to be exact. Just before the 10th season of the European Poker Tour kicks off next week, EPT President Edgar Stuchly announced that the series has paid out nearly half a billion euros in tournament prizes in only nine years of operation. Since the first event was held in 2004 at Casino de Barcelona, the EPT has played in 16 countries across 1,095 events and it has seen over 110,000 players from 100 countries across the globe. August VIP Club Month gives away $1 Million
The month of August has played host to PokerStars VIP Club Month. Running from August 1 to August 31, the special promotion will give away $1,000,000 in total value of prizes in both cash and WCOOP tickets. The series will culminate on August 31 with a special satellite to the WCOOP Main Event. A minimum of 100 seats, worth $520k, will be given away to competing players. EPT Barcelona €50k Super High Roller Event
33 Players are currently confirmed to play the EPT Barcelona High Roller Event, which runs from August 30 to September 1. Last years field of 55 players saw Dan Smith take home a first-place prize of €962,925.
