PokerStars is looking to break their own world record in celebration of their 10th anniversary. The 10th Anniversary World Record Tournament takes aim at their current Guinness World Record of 149,196 players, set two years ago in 2009 in a similar tournament featuring a $1 buy-in. oskar69 won the tournament and took home the $50,000 first prize.
PokerStars has guaranteed $250,000 in the prize pool which may mean a huge overlay since they are estimating only 150,000 players will register. The first place prize in this tournament is $50,000, which is huge considering the $1 buy-in. The date is set for December 4th at 12:30 ET. The tournament will be easy to find.
