Rounders 2? Well, maybe not, but the new movie, which has yet to be written, will be scripted by the screenwriters of the original Rounders, Brian Koppelman and David Levien.
Since it has not actually been written yet, the actual premise of the movie is not completely known. However, it has been reported that it will focus on the world of online poker and will be based in Costa Rica. The movie is in the pre-production stage and has been picked up by Paramount, but a time line has not yet been released.
Koppelman and Levien also were the creators of Ocean’s Thirteen. That was the third film in the Ocean’s Eleven series, which focused on the casinos of Las Vegas. They are currently also working on a thriller called Beat the Reaper, which will also star DiCaprio.
