In October 2009, Isildur1 made a stir in the online poker scene, showing up out of nowhere and beating some of the top online players on Full Tilt Poker. By November, Isildur1 had cemented himself as online poker legend after he won nearly $5 million from Tom “durrrr” Dwan, widely considered the top online poker in the world, in a series of memorable sessions. Though his demise came nearly as quickly as his rise to the top, Isildur1 had already captured the imagination of many. Railbirds and players alike wanted to know who exactly was the man behind the ninja avatar. Though there was plenty of speculation, the identity of Isildur1 was never revealed, even after he was signed to Team PokerStars. That is, until today.

On Saturday, during the dinner break of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, Viktor Blom finally revealed that he is the mysterious Isildur1. When asked why he came clean today, Blom mentioned that he felt it was time for him to finally reveal his identity.

Blom’s interest in poker started at the age of 14, where he played small games with his friends. Four years later, Blom decided to give online poker a try. His results were nothing short of spectacular.

“I deposited $2,000 and within three weeks I had two million,” Blom said.

The newly revealed Blom is currently taking on fellow Team PokerStars member Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier in a $25/$50, $10,000 buy in heads-up match.

Fans of Isildur1 can follow Viktor Blom at PCA 2011 and watch him take on all comers at PokerStars.
