Another online poker Sunday is in the books at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. The two leading online poker rooms were jam-packed with players this week, and several notables were awarded big paydays across the many major events on the schedule.
Let start off with some Saturday action at PokerStars where one of the top Latvian poker pro’s took down the $320 Saturday Super-Knockout. Playing under the screenname “ex6tenceLV”, this tournament pro outlasted 819 players to capture his second in in this tournament, this time for a cool $22,857.16. “ex6tenceLV” has also captured a win in this year’s SCOOP event #15, making this a very good year for him.
Another notable presence at the Saturday Super-Knockout final table was high stakes tournament pro Paul Febers who over the years has accumulated a lot of impressive scores, including a 2nd place finish in Full Tilt’s $200K GTD. This time, however, Paul was knocked out in 5th place.

Continuing the high stakes Saturday line up was Full Tilt Poker’s $1K Saturday and the final table was jam packed with big names. Jason Lavallee, Tom Middleton, Bryan Paris and many others were gunning for the win in Full Tilt Poker’s highest buy in weekly tournament.
Between all the tournament pro’s at this final table, all of them have a very impressive track record online as well as live, but eventually in was “no not baxter” from Mexico who outlasted each and every one of them. When play got down to heads up, “no not baxter” was up against Tom Middleton and the stacks were virtually even, at which point both players agreed to make a 50/50 deal on the remaining prize pool and just play It out. With that both players received $21,630.00 but it was “no not baxter” who triumphed at the end.

Mike Wywrot made another final table appearance after making 2 final tables just last weekend, including a 3rd place finish in this same tournament. Unfortunately this time Mike just fell short of the win again, losing the heads up battle to Canadian player “HNE SNE SPEAKNE” who has runner up performances in the Super Sized Sunday and an FTOPS Event.

Sunday as always saw the biggest prize pools of the weekend being awarded and this weekend almost all of them were taken down by accomplished players.
As usual Sunday kicked off with the Sunday Warm Up on PokerStars and as usual almost 3,000 players showed up with $215 and a shot at nearly $100,000 for first place. After long hours of battle before and on the final table, 2 players were left standing, Germany’s “iamtheboss12” and “khanrava” from Mexico. “khanrava” has the chip advantage as well as a very established track record, with wins in a TCOOP $82 NLHE 2X Chance event and the Hotter $55 just this year! No deals were made as “khanrava” easily cruised to victory for an impressive $88,641.87 which is by far his biggest online score up to date.

Between the Sunday Warm Up and the Sunday Million, the 100 billionth hand milestone promotion had one more special surprise for players and it was the $1M Guaranteed Zoom tournament. 11950 runners showed up, each putting up $109 and bumping up the prize pool to $1,195,000 with $166,224 going to the winner.

The player to watch at the final table was high stakes pro from Bosnia and Herzegovina Dejan Divkovic, who held a substantial chip lead coming into the final table and prior this tournament had two runner up performances in the Sunday Warm Up. Unsurprisingly, Dejan easily crusied his way to heads up, where he took on Russian player “Pumpingpoker” and easily won the whole thing without making any deals.

As usual, the biggest prizes are awarded in the one and only Sunday Million with most weeks awarding at least $200,000 to the winner. This week an amazing 6244 players entered the running for a chance to win life changing money and this time that money went to Brazil.
After hours and hours of play, 2 players were left standing. The massive chip lead belonged to Brazilian “huuuz” and playing catch up was high stakes pro Roger Wassberg. Despite having the big chip advantage, “huuuz” decided to play it safe and struck a deal with Roger, receiving $10,000 than the original first place prize. Roger has been in situations like this before and his biggest online cash up to date was a win in The Sunday Brawl for $83,000, so even if he was outchipped, this is not the kind of player that you can write off until he loses all his chips. This time, however, Roger could not mount a comeback and “huuuz” easily closed down the tournament, receiving $180,669 and becoming the week’s biggest winner!

Closing out the weekend was Full Tilt’s $250K Guarantee and three high stakes pro’s were ripping through this final table. With 3 people left one of them was Aaron Gustavson who had a nice stack and was surely already eyeing up the heads up battle. However, his luck changed after a few big pots that went the other way and eventually Aaron was knocked out in 3rd. Heads up was between high stakes pro Manuel Blaschke and Polish player “orzechinho”. Manuel had a 3 to 1 chip lead going into the heads up battle as well as a much more established track record, with multiple major wins, like the Sunday 500, The Sunday Mulligan, The Sunday Supersonic and many more. Despite his clear advantage, Manuel also decided to play it safe and struck a deal before finishing off the Polish player and adding another impressive victory to his resume.
