The third day of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, or FTOPS , XXI has finished but not without any fireworks. Three events were played on December 4th: FTOPS #5, #6, and #7. Russian and Finnish players stood out on the third day of FTOPS XXI.
FTOPS Event #5

Event #5 of FTOPS XXI is the first event of this season’s FTOPS tournament series to miss its guarantee. Of the 495 players who entered the tournament, only 54 got paid. The current leader of the FTOPS XXI Leaderboard, Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant, made the money again in this event. He continues to sit atop of the FTOPS XXI standings.
After eight hours of grueling poker action, the two final players, Miklerer from Russia and TheKoalaBear from Finland struck a deal during heads-up action. In the end, the winner (Miklerer) ended up with less money than the runner-up (The KoalaBear). Miklerer won the golden jersey and $18,000 in prize money while TheKoalaBear was happy to take home his $18,500 in winnings.

Full Tilt Poker’s HORSE event turned out being more popular than expected. The event, with only a $25,000 guarantee, broke its guarantee more than threefold when 377 players paid the $216 buyin.
As stated, Russian players absolutely dominated Day 3’s action and nowhere were that more evident than in Event #6. Event #6 had Russian first, second, and third-place finishers who received $18,699, $12,516, and $8,746, respectively. Mrcall912 was able to call himself the winner and received the coveted golden jersey after his eight hours of gameplay.

NL Holdem Super Turbo Knockout Multi-Entry

The FTOPS XXI event on Day 3 was, of course, the event designed to feature the most action. Any event that is a super turbo knockout with multiple entries is certain to be huge. The buyin was $322 which lured 1,391 players. The tournament only took two hours to complete and 135 players were able to take home some money.
Errr_rick from Finalnd was able to turn his 300 chips starting stack into 417,300 and collect $79,565. The runner-up, knluiy, took $12,516 and some bragging rights.
