FTOPS XIX is well under way, and the introduction of Multi-Entry events has created some incredible prize pools. Event 10, a $100+$9 NL Holdem 6 max rebuy event with Multi-Entries, was the perfect example of this. The guaranteed prize pool was a mere $500,000, but the actual prize pool was an unbelievable $1,523,100! This created an impressive first place prize of $290,942.56.

Event 10 was hosted by Full Tilt pro Brandon Adams. To say that Brandon Adams is intelligent is an understatement. He graduated college when he was 19 years old, got a Masters degree in Finance and Real Estate, and now he is working on a PhD in Business at Harvard. His poker accomplishments include a WSOP final table, several appearances on TV in high stakes cash games, and $390k+ in tournament winnings. He even published his own poker book called Broke: A Poker Novel.

Because all the tournament sharks entered as many times as possible, the field was incredibly tough as the tournament started winding down. It was common to be seated at a table in which the “fish” of the table was still a mid-stakes tournament professional. It comes as no surprise, then, that the final table was filled with incredible players.

syyyke_mann was the first player to bust the final table, winning $45,693 for 6th place. syyyke_mann had several 5-figure scores on Full Tilt already, including $82,465 for winning the MiniFTOPS Main Event back in December 2009. He is known as LottoMartin on PokerStars and appears to be having a great start to 2011 as he cashed for $39,228.80 just a few weeks ago in a $55 rebuy.

5th place and $67,016.40 was awarded to King_lewis8. His highest score on Full Tilt prior to this event was last September for $7,049 in a $3 rebuy, so this was a very welcome addition to his bankroll! He plays under the same username on PokerStars where his highest cash is for $18,130.50 in the Sunday Warm-Up.

chaz_man_chaz placed 4th for just shy of 6-figures, taking home $91,386. Known as Charlie Combes in real life, he is well known for winning 1st place in the UBOC $1M Championship event last year for $230,445.60. He is known as JIZOINT on PokerStars.

We enter 6-figure territory with a $123,675.72 3rd place prize, awarded to TheAssassinato. Originally from Washington state but currently living in Costa Rica, Alex Fitzgerald previously had a huge number of 5-figure scores on both Full Tilt and PokerStars, but this was his first 6-figure score.

s00tedj0kers89 made it to heads-up action with dutchmaster, but he fell short of the victory and settled for an impressive 2nd place prize of $178,202.70. Known as Kory Kilpatrick in real life, he was actually chasing his 3rd FTOPS jersey as he already won events back in November 2009 and February 2010. Like syyyke_mann, he is having an incredible start to the year as he cashed for almost $74k just a couple weeks ago in the Sunday Brawl.

And finally the champion of Event 10 was dutchmaster, receiving $290,942.56 and the coveted FTOPS jersey for his fine efforts. Known as Anton Talle, his previous largest cash was in December 2010 when he won $32k in the $1k Monday on Full Tilt. Since his largest PokerStars cash is $12k, it is safe to say that this 6-figure score is sure to increase his bankroll significantly!

With 45 events scheduled for FTOPS XIX, everyone will have the chance to play hard and win huge. If you love super turbos, don’t forget to play Event 12 tonight at 17:00 ET. Please see below for the final table payouts and stay turned for more FTOPS coverage!
